Re: 2016 Election Pick Your Poison Master Thread

None of this stuff matters anymore. Wake me up in 3 years.

You have a spare room in your cave that I can use?

Re: Israel's good friend Obama... I'm going to side with JTZ on this one. When I read his comment I understood it to mean that on average, someone who is Jewish is more likely to know about Israeli politics than him.
But I'm not very sympathetic to cries of "racism" in general. It could be that by the standard applied to other comments here, this one was also "racist".

Apparently Ivanka makes an excellent cholent. Here's her recipe (family tradition, handed down from her shvigger :) ) Link: http://bit.ly/IvankasCholentRecipe

Not a very shabbos-friendly recipe...

You don't need to go that far. He is in their industry.

The original article sounded to me like an advertisement for Bingo. Also, do all his articles need an editor so badly?

Re: 2016 Election Pick Your Poison Master Thread My thoughts on the fact that so many #nevertrumpers are supporting him now because of the media.

Most of us had 2 reasons why we did not vote for Trump, 1- we didn't like his character and 2 - we didn't trust him to keep to his word to enact conservative policies.

Trump has addressed #2 by making a lot of conservative moves, both in his appointments (cabinet and SC) and in his actions. Most of his actions have been executive actions because legislation takes time, and the Senate is busy working through confirmation hearings (which have been stretched out by Democrats).

The media and the left is doing a good job in addressing the first point because as much as I can't stand Trump, I hate them more (because of the way they are reacting) and in a choice between the two I, and most conservatives, are going with Trump.

I'll also point out that there is an unprecedented amount of criticism of Trump from conservative Republicans who will work with him when he furthers their common goals and have shown themselves willing to stand up to him when he acts stupidly.

This is a very healthy thing for our political system, to have a group of people that stand for certain principals and not a "team". If the Democrats would do the same when people on "their side" do or say stupid things America would truly be on the right path.

What happened? Did someone ask if he still beats his wife?

His ex-wife has repeatedly said for years that her allegations were not true, and that she was "counseled" to make them in order to gain an upper hand in their divorce negotiations.

What more likely stopped his nomination was his views on immigration. It's ironic that the one Trump nominee that was stopped, was from the right.

They come across as jealous people with no real choice.

Or they've spoke to a Mashgiach at one of these programs...

Re: Pesach Program in Greece Cancelled Just Now!
with the bigger hashgachos that is standard. With some of the smaller fly by night heimeshe hashgachos, as long as there is no Heinz ketchup anything goes. My all time favorite from a Rav hamachshir I was doing a hotel job for "vus ken zein shlecht mit Cognac?"

I've heard it said that a "heimishe hashgocha" is one where the rov/mashgiach stays at home...
