Wow, that article is full of gems, if I didn't know better I would have thought it was an onion piece.

Re: Torah stuff that doesnt make sense
Would this be correct? You can question things for the purpose of understanding why they are true but not question if they are true?
You can question if something is true, but in order to do so you must have a great deal of knowledge on the topic. Like @timt s post, it would be ludicrous for some non college educated guy to disagree with a doctors recommendations, based on years of research, to get vaccinated. He can question why, and try with his limited knowledge, to understand the subject at hand, but to have an opinion on the veracity of vaccination is misguided at best.

Re: So Big Bang theory needs.....Emunah
I am confused. His point was science is another form of religion?
His point was that they hide behind behind their claim to be the alternative to religion  and are based off of logical well researched facts (science)  but if you dig a little deeper it really requires a huge leap of faith in the different  theories and is no more grounded than their views on religion.
But it removes shibud making it alot more appealing.

Yes, a few. She's on board with good suggestions but she doesn't wanna deal with cash.
Does she pay the bills? If not let her handle that for a few months so she sees where all your money is going.

Re: PSA: DO NOT BANK WITH CHASE OR YOUR CREDIT CARDS MAY GET CLOSED!
There is no better online banking system period.
Their online banking is in a different league than any other bank I've used. It's not comparable.

Don't use their online deposits and BP is straight forward. Actually easier than Chase. On Chase's new interface how do I BP an individual?
Just don't add an act number.
Or use qp.

Re: Smoking Meats
I think Iím going back to foil. I didnít get what all the hype was about the butcher paper.
AFAIK its to avoid being called a crutch
Butcher paper allows more moisture out so you still end up with  semi solid bark.
The few times I've used butcher paper have made a significant difference.

Re: N95 Masks Hospitals are telling the Docs that they can only use 1 mask per day due to the shortage, which is highly ineffective, but go ahead and make a few bucks while our much needed medical professionals put their lives at risk.

Why are you ganging up on him? Go buy it from him for a hospital if you want! He is not charging $100 each.
Its not really him, but It gets me really mad that my wife and other hospital personnel  have to risk there lives every day at the hospital, cant call out for any reason at this point and cant get there hands on a mask because people have been hording them to make a few dollars.

Re: COVID-19 (Wuhan Novel Coronavirus) Pandemic Master Thread

In US? Where?

My daughter tells me that results from a few days of testing IGG immunity are rolling in on antibody tests and they are very weird. People who tested negative on nasal swab COVID tests multiple times are positive for antibodies and healthcare workers who were absolutely exposed to many many people with positive symptoms are testing negative for antibodies.

Mount sinai south nassau.  As with everything covid-19 related information, its probably to soon to be close to conclusive yet.

Re: COVID-19 (Wuhan Novel Coronavirus) Pandemic Master Thread
All I can say is my daughter, an RN treating confirmed positive patients left and right, has had symptoms like cough, slight fever, loss of taste and smell yet...tested negative for antibodies.
Seems consistent with everything else related to covid-19 - nothing makes sense.

Although cant it just be that  she hasn't fully recovered yet and developed those antibodies?

Re: COL video about Maimonidies, a must watch
there is more on the video, it's a response to that video that has been circulating from a nurse practitioner who is not on the front lines talking about NYC. This video and some others from nurses on the front lines should be watched.

These certificates dont seem to be tied to a specific name so might be sellable/transferable
They are transferrable, its in the fine print.

Re: SBA PPP and EIDL Small Business Loans (some money is forgivable)
This is what banks were/are getting:
In the CARES Act:
A .5% fee on loans below $350,000.00
A .3% fee on loans between $350,001.00 and $2,000,000.00
A 1% fee on loans between $2,000,001.00 and higher

In the Response and Relief Package:
A 50% fee on loans below $50,000.00 (capped at $2,500)
A 5% fee on loans between $50,001.00 and $350,000.00
A 3% fee on loans between $350,001.00 and $2,000,000.00

CRAZY increase.
Keep in mind this is what the banks get, EU is a broker and they only get a portion of that and are passing on 20% of their portion.
