FIOS router upgrade I just got this email from Verizon: Our records indicate that you have an older model router that is being discontinued. If you do plan to keep using your current router, we will begin billing, on 9.29.16, a monthly Router Maintenance Charge of $2.80 (plus taxes), to ensure we deliver the best support.
You also have the option to upgrade to a certified, pre-owned Fios Advanced Wi-Fi Router. Itís a one-time purchase of $59.99 (plus taxes) with free shipping and handling for a limited time. This is a great opportunity to enhance your Fios experience with faster Wi-Fi speeds.

Neither of these options thrill me. Do I have any other choices? I see a lot of FIOS routers on eBay.

Re: Nescafe & Taster's Choice Instant Coffee Deal $6.40-$9.32 for a 2 Pack
Is there a limit onto how much I can buy?
No limit on how many you can buy, but you can only get two of these deals ($20 in points for $50 purchase) per Plenti card, so you can only buy $100 worth of stuff.

United MileagePlus 100 free miles If you register your United MileagePlus credit card at, you'll get 100 miles. You use your MileagePlus account number to register. This seems to work whether or not you still have the credit card (I canceled mine rather than pay the AF). I say "seems to work" because it said I was registered, but the bonus didn't show up yet. OTOH, my wife still has the card, and when I registered hers, I got the same result.

Re: Gift Card and gas Promo at Stop & Shop or Giant This week they have 5X GO points on Green Dot reloadable Visa debit cards. Here's what I've gleaned. Please correct me if I'm wrong. You can use them right away for purchases. You need to register them, including your SSN and DOB, to do much else. Once you've registered, it becomes an Unlimited Cash Back card. That's a misnomer because you get 2% back only on online and mobile purchases. You can do free ATM withdrawals at MoneyPass ATMs. There's a $7.95 monthly fee which is waived if you spend $1000+. They pay 2% APY on balances up to $10K. Cancelling the card is very difficult, and customer service is non-existent.

I was originally thinking that I would get one for $500, register it, withdraw the balance at an ATM, and then cancel. But it looks like the difficulty in closing the account makes this a non-starter.
