Re: Did You Get The Flu Vaccine This Winter?
Fine, but those facts say nothing about the "shot"
How many would have died from the flu whether they got the shot or not? (age, sick etc;)
How many statisticaly wise does the shot make sick or affect in any way?
How many of those that died did indeed get the shot?
Feel free to search for those facts but don't claim that 1 person dies from the flu per year.

If there was a significant death toll from getting the vaccine it would all over the news.  Hint: It's not.

Re: Did You Get The Flu Vaccine This Winter? 39,000 out of billions? I didn't realize there are billions of Americans?

If you mean worldwide, there are 500,000 flu deaths per year.

Anti-vaccine paranoids should really all just be put together in one nice colony for a couple years and we'll see the results of the rest of the world and the anti-vaccine colony :P

Re: Nice Stories that bring a smile
I will start, someone just told me this story that happened to their MIL:

This story happenend in a pizzaria in clevaland!! This guys MIL (lets call her mrs k) works in kiruv that sends girls to israel to find themselves. Well one day this lady met up with a mother of one of those girls. She said to mrs k, i wish i can go to israel too. I feel so connected that i must go to. But, its VERY expensive, but i try only spending on cc, in order to get to israel. So this lady and mrs k kept of talking about how she will get to israel on spending money and racking up points... It came out that it would take a yr or so....someone sitting behind them turned around and said "i can't help over hearing your situation, you do not need to spend on cc, rather you need sign up bonuses," and this wonderful helpful person went on and explained for quiet a while how she needs to maximize sign ups and so on... The ladies said how do you know so much.... To which he said...............

But from what i was just told, they were so grateful for this person to take so much time out of his day to help out!
And the next part is also a bit nuts - mrs k told her SIL who she just met. This SIL ran to the pizzeria. But to no a avail. He then ran to the grocery down the block found this person and continued to pick at his brain. And this SIL walked away and said wow what a mentch!!!
Lol,  I dropped off my wife at Target and she was wondering what took me so long to grab a slice of pizza and pickup some milk :D

When Posting Amazon Deals, Please Make A DD Link If posting an Amazon deal I'd greatly appreciate if you can use this simple format so that I don't need to edit your link.

For these Twizzlers for example:
Code: [Select]
B000F8EUR6 is the 10 digit Amazon item number (ASIN) that every product on Amazon has in the URL.  It's also listed on every page in the product details under the ASIN field.

The DD tag is
Code: [Select]
To force Amazon as the seller the smid is
Code: [Select]
To link to any Amazon product just copy this link:
Code: [Select]
And change the ASIN to the product you want to post a deal about.
For the Canon S110 for example it will look like this:

(Also you can search the product ASIN on DDF to see if a thread already exists.)

Thanks for posting deals, thanks for your support, and thanks in advance for helping me save some time!

Re: Went through the process of house hunting/buying
The price of homes compared to income has gone way up in the last 20 yrs. If it goes any higher nobody will be able to afford one.
Or people will move to places where it's affordable to live.
The LA paycheck to paycheck lifestyle isn't sustainable IMHO.
