Re: The Pros And Cons Of Where You Live
nah, I'm just pissed off that my kid's bike was stolen.
Reminds me of the story of the child whose mother was Hispanic and father was Jewish. One day he comes home and asks his mother, "Mom, am I more hispanic or more Jewish?" "I'm not quite sure about that. You'll have to ask your father," his mother replied. When his father came home from work that afternoon he runs over and asks "Dad, am I more hispanic or more Jewish?" "Why do you ask?" inquired his father. "Billy from down the block just offered to sell me his new bike. I want to know if I should bargain on the price, or wait till dark and steal it."

Re: All Halocha Shailos and teiffa Questions
IIRC in shevet halevy he writes to do that with a flashlight
Luckily it's the first night and all he has to do is one flashlight.

What would be your first reaction if you see someone lighting eight flashlights on an airplane?
I would call the air marshals...

Re: Master Thread of Pet Peeves
The real problem is when they are just left randomly in shul, just waiting to be knocked over and spill.
Even worse when they're left with ground foam from the top 2/3 of the cup, mixed with some leftover coffee.

Re: Anyone here with a bit of knowledge with an israeli outlet wiring?
Without a tester,i assume you want me to use my hands. ;)

Awwwww! It's some 12+ years since I've been changing outlets daily in yeshiva... I forgot the color coding, but one thing I sure do remember. I was replacing an outlet near my bed in the dorm. I had switched the fuse off to avoid zzzzzzzzzzzzs... But some dude came into his room and found the fuse off so he just switched it on without my knowledge... ...needless to say, I flew five feet right into Mesh's longest post... Wow! That was totally not funny...  >:( 2 X the voltage of the US.
