Re: airline customer service hearing on capitol hill although the actual "hearing" is over, i spoke with congessman shuster's office (chairman of transportation committee) and they strongly recommended that we contact the committee as they are currently reviewing options for new legislation on airlines. they are reviewing yesterdays hearing as well as other info that they receive about customer complaints against airline practices
if they get dozens of complaints about mileage devaluations and other unfair practices, they will probably do something
a short clear email and phone call is all they need. please repost. Dan, perhaps you can write a list of unethical airline behavior, especially regarding mileage programs, and how its obvious the airlines are bullying us as consumers, and post it on main site. Thanks!

Re: Amex 2014 Terms and Conditions
Nah, I wouldn't accuse him of that. Elimmm seems like a mentsch. I pm'ed back and forth. This may be the accountant, or unrelated.

just to "clear my name"

I didnt start this thread, @Dan can verify by IP, I am not even in the USA now. I posted a $200 award for this info a week or 2 ago, after someone requested it "urgently" by email. I was promised $200 if I find the info. Since I didnt find it myself, I posted the request on a random thread. (I even PMed Dan, but didnt merit a response :) ) No one threatened me, rather someone sent an email begging for the info to help w taxes for his friend. I PMed back and forth w a few fellow DDFers and everyone was only trying to help.
I dont know why or when the negativity started, but i gave up looking for the requested info a while ago. Apparently this fellow (the OP?) is desperate for the info and upset that people arent responding as he expected. Maybe he feels that people r bargaining w him while he is in a situation w IRS. Either way, I dont know the accountant nor his clients. I was only reposting an urgent request that i got by email.
I wish everyone happy hunting (if the t&c wasnt found yet.) And hope people are more respectful, even when they are desperate for help.
                    Wishing y'all good luck,
(thanks @yelped for letting 'em know that i didnt start this thread)

Re: Extra kids in Hotel room in Italy I have done it before. My suggestion: sneak them in. Have your wife come in later when check in is busy... They can be close minded, if it says max 3 ppl per room including kids, they don't have the mental capacity to be flexible. Just as Alitalia won't allow more than 6 infants on a plane.

Re: Re: PSA: Don't swipe recklessly for others @Dan
Please remove @Denverite's post. Many of the points there are off mark and it will probably be quoted in an article that will be published soon, IMHO.
calling out an entire group of people most of whom are legitimately doing nothing wrong, is disgusting. Call out the thieves, don't blame the community. Yes, most people here are opportunists, not shady characters and no one here believes in stealing from non Jews, our coffee of law clearly prohibits that. Look up shulchan aruch. Stop spreading hate and giving legitimacy to mein kampf or protocols of the elders of Zion. Everyone here knows you're lying, but a non Jews reading this forum might say "hey, maybe it's true..." So basically you are trying to hate on hareidi Jews and pretending that there is even a single one who allowed stealing- totally against halacha!!!

Re: PSA: Don't swipe recklessly for others
I'm going to be interviewed by him tomorrow.
What topics should I bring up?
Be sure to record it yourself in case of edits!!!
Also, he will prob have the attitude of m many wealthy people that credit card churning is for poor uneducated people and that it's just a way to take advantage of credit card companies. His undertones are very loud. Since he runs the show, the only way you can outshout him is by quoting real numbers and facts and citing sources. You can't just tell him "the credit card companies want people to sign up because most people....."
Also, he'll def challenge you on going against T&c by selling points.
You'll prob want to explain how the banks strong-arm the cardholders when they are in the mood, how they shut down and steal hard-earned points at their discretion. Also, the way they devaluate points and how points don't have legal cash value.
Lastly, tell him not to compare the Amazon tragedy to 9/11. And don't forget to talk about wealthy people declaring bankruptcy to save their assests. Ask him if that's also against his ethics.
