Re: 5 Towns/Rockaway Master Thread
In my family we do a lot of TJ, Costco, and occasional S&S shopping. We still need to shop in kosher supermarkets fairly often. And for people who work full time it is just not possible to go to all these stores. Explain to me how you can do all this without shopping in 4-5 stores a week. If you have a family of 6 there is a limit to how much you can buy and freeze. A lot of food is eaten on a weekly basis by 6 people. And I have an additional freezer besides for my kitchen fridge/freezer and garage fridge/freezer

Edit: I really just want to understand how to do it, I am not arguing. Would love to know the secret
A trip to Seasons and GG to get the sale items in each is not much more of a hassle than going to one. They're basically a block away; it's a minute or two from Seasons' parking lot to GG's.

I think the every day prices in Frankel's are better, and for a small fee they deliver.

You can also order online and then pick up. The biggest chisaron is selecting produce, but if you order everything else and pick up, you can choose yourself for a few extra minutes.

You can check the sales online for each, so plan what you're getting where, and it won't be as time consuming.

This is doable if planned well.

Re: Chanukkah question
We don't have full details. One of the ways to figure the details out is by asking questions.
The Bais Yosef didn't merely ask a question, he asked a kashya.

Re: Price mistake? Or Fake? Portable Charger For 1 Penny+Free Shipping !
In reply to you're quotes below, if Amazon has a fake seller on their website, I can't see them not compensating an inconvenienced customer. Even if it's just a $5 credit.
They certainly don't always compensate.

Re: 2016 Election Pick Your Poison Master Thread
...but his lawyers state the election was legit. There was no fraud.

Trumpís lawyers said, ďAll available evidence suggests that the 2016 general election was not tainted by fraud or mistake.Ē
He assumes the fraud favors the D's, so of course it follows that the election was legit. There's value to an investigation to prevent future elections from being fraudulent.

How so?
Every time he pitched on Shabbos, CH. When he didn't on YK, KH.

I think any time a Yid does a public aveirah, it's a CH, and a public mitzvah, a KH.

Re: google voice help The other improvement I would like to see (I don't know if it has to do with the app) would be to have the voicemails coming from a call to the Google Voice # go only to the GV mailbox, and the voicemails coming from calls made to the cell # go to the cell's voicemail.

Unless this is already doable and I'm missing something?

Re: Boro Park Grocery Stores vs. Newspapers and Magazines: All Out War
Can say the same thing for newspapers.
No profit, takes up valuable floor space.
If the floor space wasn't worth the extra foot traffic, you'd be right.

The stores are not claiming to be losing a whole lot of money on the papers.

They are claiming to be losing a boatload on delinquent accounts. If they're telling the truth (I think they are), they should stop allowing credit.

Looking into getting into a new membership any day .... any new sign up deals that I should know about?
If you'll spend enough, it'll be worth getting Executive Membership.

Re: Re: Verizon Unlimited Data Plans - price being raised $20 as of Nov. 2015
So I still have the grandfathered plan with 400 minutes and 250 texts although I don't talk or text that much so don't really need more. Should I switch though to this new plan? Per their website

"On all Verizon Unlimited plans you get our fast LTE speeds. To ensure a quality experience for all customers, after 22 GB of data usage on a line during any billing cycle we may prioritize usage behind other customers in the event of network congestion. While we donít expect to do that very often, network management is a crucial tool that benefits all Verizon customers. If youíre on Verizon Unlimited, youíll have the same coverage and reliability as everybody else."

But I don't foresee needing more than 20GB per month anyway. Thoughts?
400 minutes sounds like something you may occasionally use up. 22gb is a lot, and you might not even feel it even if you do go over.

I would compare the costs and go with the new plan if the same or cheaper.

Re: Jewish Music (New CDs, hock, and opinions)
Is ďall I want is a dreidel that will win win winĒ from The Incredible Dreidel of Feitel Von zeidel an original composition? If not what are the original words?

Eitz Chaim, first recorded afaik on a Camp Kol Rina record, and subsequently on The Chevra (Sheya Mendlowitz production).

Re: Jewish Music (New CDs, hock, and opinions)
Ohr Chodosh vol. 1, on which Shmelkie's Niggun is featured, was first released in 1971. However, in Marvelous Middos 3, Shnookie Schapiro goes back in time to 1968, three years before Ohr Chodosh's release, and Shmelkie's Niggun is playing at a chasunah.

The song was popular in yeshiva and possibly on the wedding scene before the album was recorded, so it wouldn't have been impossible. I'm not sure when it was composed though.

Re: Jewish Music (New CDs, hock, and opinions)
Speaking of JEP, he used the song "Like an Ocean" from JEP vol. 1.

That was originally "Es Tzemach", on a Mark III Orchestra record.

Re: Jewish Music (New CDs, hock, and opinions)
Trivia: The composer of this song only has 1 other recorded composition which is a very famous song. Who is he and what is the song?

Shlomo Zolty, Vahaviosim (Toronto Pirchei)
