Re: Marriott Certs Sale
If I leave a hotel after staying 4 out of 7 nights on a Marriott cert, do I have to pay the resort fee on the last 3 nights?
My experience (sample size of 1) was that I paid the resort fee for the length of the reservation in the Marriott system.  This was at a US property so don't know if that had something to do with it.

Re: Marriott Certs Sale
I, and I'm sure many others, can vouch for @leeboy . The transaction I had with him was phenomenal from start to finish.

The transaction I had with @letav_aved was awful from nearly the beginning to the DRAGGED OUT end of the deal. I would never deal with him/her again.

It's pretty easy to decide who is more trustworthy in this case...
@leeboy is superb in all ways.  Runs a smooth operation and is great with communication.

Re: Free night Hilton Certificates
Is there a guide to best practices when buying/selling hotel certificates posted somewhere on the site?

I'm being very conservative about travel right now so I have a bunch of Hilton, Marriott and IHG certificates I'd consider selling to someone more comfortable traveling in the coming year.

Presumably sellers are making reservations for buyers, generally with the seller listed on the reservation.

What are the best ways to minimize the risk of something going wrong?
Most account holders are not generally comfortable relinquishing their Account Details (logon and password) so that the buyer can make their own reservation so it is best to make the reservation yourself and put the buyer as the second guest if need be.  Use the buyer's credit card to hold the room.

Best overall recommendation to give to you is to deal with an established DDF member and ask for references if it makes you more comfortable.  Each party has an implied liability with something to lose so it benefits each to be honest and upfront so no misunderstandings occur downstream.

Hope that helps..

Re: Red Dog Forge - Knives from Texas I own several knives from RedDogForge. They’re beautiful, and beautiful to work with. They are sharp, stay sharp, and feel great in your hands to work with. Extremely lightweight and nimble, it is great for fillet work, but also any other task that doesn’t require a heavy chopping blade.

You can see from the pic below how thin they are..... If you’re a chef, or just love cooking, these are the knives to get.

Without question....
