Re: Why I donít live in Israel yet
Its actually sad that you should ask this. Unless there is something about Chabad shitos that I am unaware of.

Your comment is even sadder. We are in the 9 days, and we must remember that we are now in Golus. We sinned and were kicked out of Israel. If we do Mitzvos and Tshuva then Moshiach will come and we will all go back. Until then, Israel is also just a Golus (a very scary one indeed, religion-wise).

So the question is: Whatís the benefit of replacing Golus USA with Golus Israel?

Yet the Zionists did a great job brainwashing people that Israel just ainít no Golus anymore...

DAF: The Donors Fund vs The OJC Fund So I want to open one of these, spoke to both, and the fees math pencils very similarly.

I guess it will boil down to customer service, and ease of redemption for those receiving the certificates.

So who do you recommend?

Re: The Day After COVID19 -Airlines
Then they shouldn't be bailed out if they have nothing to offer in return for our help.

Do you understand the vital importance of air travel to the economy? If United Delta & American come to Washington for help Congress will drool to add as many 0's as necessary to that check.

A bill will be passed.

Be careful who you blame the markets on. We had a massive Fed cut that Trump said the markets would love. The market tanked when it opened that Monday.

Trump is a non-persona as far as I'm concerned, economically. The Fed did the right move, although it's nowhere near enough as the credit problem here is demand-side, not supply-side. The Treasury has indeed rallied Congress and unveiled very bold - and unthinkable - legislation which has wall-to-wall Republican support (note the missing Tea Party). This was taken straight out of the Obama playbook, it's a good bill. It's not perfect, but we can add more pieces later. We are craving stability and the D's just shot that. Poor America.

Just like shuls and workplaces did right away when the scare began   ::)

The next best Heimish business to be in now is in building private Mikvaos for people. I'm ordering one ASAP...

Re: Seminary/Yeshiva Israel Rebbeim
FWIW, I got a call from the program my son is I"H going to next year. They currently expect to open on time, worst case - after the Yamim Tovim - in which case they said they would extend the year by another month.

I am not 100% convinced I believe it, but I want to know where people are coming up with December or January estimates?

If your son is not an Israeli citizen, don't count on it. The border will stay sealed shut.

Re: Coronavirus Stimulus Aid Package It seems like in NJ, anyone making less than $68,276 is going to getting a nice little raise for being unemployed. For NY, it's $57,804.

Looks like a lot of people are gonna have some interesting conversations with their boss...

Re: Coronavirus Stimulus Aid Package
What do you mean?
You can get unemployment while you have a job with the above salaries?

No. If you were making less than this, getting laid off and going on unemployment is a better deal than keeping your job.
