Re: Dumb mistakes we make playing these games. So hereís a story about a dumb mistake I made. Has a happy ending though .
So , my first cc was a FU, of course since itís billed as a cashback card I made the mistake that probably a lot of noobs make...I redeemed 32k for cash back anyway life moved on and I discovered ddf of course I was very disappointed for being duped like that....
Anyway last week I decided on a whim to call up chase: can I pretty please have those points back ?
I got a good rep , with a bad English and asked nicely that I want those points for travel , can she reverse the transaction?
She had a few questions for me a. When am I gonna use the points if she gives it back b. On which airline c. Do I also want her to transfer the points from csp to the fu or do I have enough for my ticket 🤨🤨(I told her no, thank you very much)
Anyway she said sheís sending the request to support and I should expect an answer in 10-14 days... she was very nice and apologizing the whole time, and had no clue about ur
I waited with bated breath , and yesterday finally I saw YES they were back!!! (They did debit my acct for $320)
So cheers 🥂 hereís to 32k ur !!!

Re: If You Could Ask El Al Management One Question...
I don't think so. Legroom is a universal problem in Y, not an LY problem.
Not a ďproblemĒ imo its customers wanting cheaper fares ,ulcc that pushes airlines to stuff smaller seats.
Not that they wouldnít try doing it anyway but if customers would be willing to pay more, airlines wouldnít get away so easily putting 10 seats in a row

Lightened-up my position in INO yesterday to get back my basis, so it's a free ride now. Is there any real news or is this just a Robinhood effect yesterday and today? I'm considering a trailing stop, but can't figure where to place it in this crazy volatile market.
The vaccines game is purely a guessing game with every little tidbit causing a jump, and no a 70 mil DOD contract does not justify a 1B increase in valuation. I did get in on the pump and dump though 😉😉

Re: Cancun, Mexico Master Thread Had a recent stay at Andaz mayakoba where we met the resort manager (highly experienced, worked at many Hyattís around the world) we got talking about Jewish people staying at the resort and we mentioned that we ordered food from kosher restaurant in pdc delivered to the hotel she was very curious if Jewish travelers would be interested in packages including kosher food daily to the room which I enthusiastically said yes! So if anybody considering/staying at Andaz mayakoba it would be great to express interest to her and hopefully will get it implemented. Her email is sylvia.smith@andaz.com

no you used it as a way to define people who attend the protest. Classification of voters is not. As usual I think you know very well the difference but are just in the mood of a good argument I am out  ;D

Mask non compliance on NY-TLV flight. The chilul hashem is unimaginable, besides the obvious health concerns. What is so hard to wear a mask ??

Re: Mask non compliance on NY-TLV flight.
Wished that 1 airline would make a maskless section (like the good old smoking section at the back of the plane), for all those who don't want to wear a mask. Let them accomodate the vaxed, recovered, or others that chose to think on their own.
Will never happen during Harris's term...
Why ? Is it so hard to wear a mask?

+1000000000000000000

Yes. Many people find it hard to wear a mask for extended periods of time. It's even harder when in their minds they are convinced that there is no health benefit to it, as they are immune (either because they recovered from COVID-19 and have antibodies, or because they were vaccinated).
The chilul hashem is worth the hardship, if itís too hard donít fly.

Their mistake was using put options that they were required to disclosed publicly. Nobody would've known if it was traditional short sells.

I saw a theory that this was Elon Musk taking revenge at Melvin for shorting TSLA loudly a while ago.
I wouldnít be surprised if he took part in the action for some payback, but doubt he was from those who started it.

Re: Stocks
This isn't true. You could sell more bananas than exist in the world, the same way they sold more GME - you borrow it from the person you sold it to and sell it again
Hence the epic squeeze when retail buyers refused to sell

Re: Stocks
Of course this has been going on forever.

The whole stock market is a big pyramid scheme based on supply and demand. There is no sense in valuing a company at a 20x multiple other than the fact that others are willing to buy it at that level. So why is it wrong to push the stock up to a 1000x multiple?
Theres a huge difference here, implied value is still value (imagine buying AMZN in 1995) but to some extent markets can be sheep following each other in which case the last sheep gets eaten. But the free market decides 😂😂😂

I got into TLRY last week at 19.04 per share. Seems like reddit/WSB is focusing on it now- trading north of $74 AH.

Any advice on when to sell? Don't see any rational way to play this, and don't want to end up like GME...
Id say a trailing loss order of say 20%. I donít really see anyway to play it because it does not adhere to any common sense rules

Re: Stocks
Why not post your gains and holdings?
because this is not a stocks oriented forum people just randomly post ideas without advising why they are recommending or what their strategy is. I personally trade at high risk and would feel bad if others lost money because of something I posted. There are plenty of good traders on Twitter with solid analysis and picks, I can post some if interested.

Re: Mexico City Master Thread Brief TR: was in MEX for 2 days we felt reasonably safe and have never seen a city with so many police officers ;).
I stayed mostly in the affluent Polanco area where the Hyatt regency is located and most of the (pretty big) Jewish community lives.

Sinai bakery was the only cafe that seemed to be open in the morning we ate there both days great pastries and they prepare sandwiches coffee etc.

Dinner we ate at gauche grill, food was amazing and well priced they bring the raw stakes out to you to choose which we though was weird... minestrone soup was great and freshly made hummus.

HR has beautiful architecture with a multi story lobby, the rooms were 90ís nice, full marble toilets etc dated but pretty nice. The Ac did not seem to keep up and we were a little hot at night. Service was great.

Uber is on the cheap with a half hour ride to the airport being around $6.
Hope this helps someone... 😀😀

Now that we have how much he made, where is he so we can find another one of his gems
And he's already close to a $1mm in gains
Helps to have three quarters of a million dollars to play with, too.
Assuming itís all true which I doubt for a guy selling cell phones on ddf, iím not saying that not but rag to riches storyís can rarely be duplicated unless he advises on his strategy and thinking.

Kosherica Hyatt Grand Reserve Puerto Rico Pesach Program Shutdown Threatened We arrived yesterday at the Hyatt grand reserve and was surprised to find a kosher pesach program here.
How should I describe it ? The noise, the dirt (parents sit by the pool while counselors hand out ice cream) the place just looks and feels like a zoo not exactly the kind of vacation I signed up for...

But now I received this via WhatsApp ď Hyatt in Puerto Rico is threatening to shut down the entire Pesach program if people don't wear masksĒ

The mask compliance is non existent and while Iím not nervous for my personal safety (itís all mostly outdoors) the chilul hashem is crazy.
Weíve also seen guests lash out at employees.

The whole thing just makes me sad, why some Jewish people canít be respectful of others and their requirements when coming here, basic decency towards employees that work here they are not your slaves.
/rant 😢😢

Re: Kosherica Hyatt Grand Reserve Puerto Rico Pesach Program Shutdown Threatened
Do you know all the details? I don't either but if she was screaming she probably asked for it and expected to get it and was surprised when she didn't, and when you're in that situation its devastating, what do you with a baby you can't just put them in a cabinet and move on
i donít and it doesnít  really change anything, screaming at the front desk employee is unacceptable and unlikely to change anything, let her take it up with the program director.

I guess others whoíve seen these type of crowds are not shocked by this attitude but for me it was a big shocker

Re: Kosherica Hyatt Grand Reserve Puerto Rico Pesach Program Shutdown Threatened
Why no masks? Because they're immune
Yes so letís stage a protest for the world to see in front NIH & Dr.Fauci 🙄 They are coming here to an island with limited health resources the locals trying their best to mitigate COVID by wearing masks, yes I feel completely safe because itís outdoors but this is their rules !!! How do you think a bellman feels seeing the rich Jews showing up with complete disregard for his/her safety??
If you donít want to wear a mask stay home. The public consensus is to wear a mask I donít t see what SO hard to wear one and prevent chilul hashem?
