Re: Remote Work - Is This The Future? I've found it difficult to monitor, train, and help the employees that work under me. What would normally be just 10 minutes of me sitting next to them and going through some things, has turned into an hour of frustrating screen sharing etc.
I also had one employee that was clocked in over 8 hours a day but producing almost nothing. I'm quite certain he was not working.

I have one employee that just started right before COVID hit and training has been extremely difficult. I normally would have the trainee sit by my desk and watch me work for a while to get the hang of things, explain what I'm doing while I'm doing it, and have them listen in on calls.

I myself can work from home with practically the same productivity, but it's hard to train, monitor, and guide remotely.

Re: POLL: Wedding expenses in the frum Community - BH for simchos? or out of hand?
Until there's a 'shidduch crisis' and a girl decides to go on the market earlier to have more time/available boys. That's basically what happens now in the litvish world where girls are getting married earlier and earlier, even the end of 12th grade!

I think learning the basics of emunah and setting a solid groundwork would eliminate Shidduch Crisis Fears (obviously another discussion...)

I am single and have a large group of single friends, so call me crazy, but I don't believe in the Shidduch Crisis.

Re: Dating Stories I'll start.

I dated a guy once whose car looked like a homeless person lived in it. The seat was cleared but the floor was covered in junk, the cup holders exploding in old tissues and crumpled up trash.  I had to sit with legs pressed against the door to avoid touching garbage.

While driving, he pulled out a bag of chips (none for me of course) and proceeded to inhale the contents of the bag. Upon finishing, crumpled up the bag and threw it over his head to the back.

Re: Dating Stories
There was once someone who had an office next to a womens mikva where I was supposed to pickup his daughter (he didnt want me to pick her up at her/his house, alright...) . the entrance looks like a shared entrance and you can turn right or left... depending on where the person is going...
First time in this area so I am really not familiar with anything & there isn't any business name signs or clear address either... so I arrive at this mikva building & I tell myself it seems weird that this building is his office.. no business name.. nothing.. So I go back into the car.. check my gps again, go a bit further & its a bank... I turn back around.. go back to the mikva building (At the time I didnt know it was a mikva obviously) & decide I'll knock & see what happens... This guy has cameras outside of the office, parking area etc.. As soon as I get out of my car he comes RUNNING!!! STOP STOP!! Its a ladies mikva!!!!  :D :D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D that wouldve been disastrous had I knocked in "hi, im looking for ms..... I have a date".

LOLOLOLOLOL will never forget, shidduch didnt end of happening BH

This. Is. Awesome

Re: Dating Stories
I can't believe this is real, there is no way anyone would actually do that.

Itís quite true. I called the shadchan after because I felt it was my duty to get the guy some help, but I didnít reach her and never tried again 😳

Re: Dating Stories
You remind me of one of my daughter's dates.  He filled up on gas after  he picked her up - late. It showed that he's unprepared.  Not a good trait.

I had this as well. Guy shows up on first date and I noticed that his gas light was on. I naively assumed the gauge was broken because who would come to a date with their light on? But a while later he casually pulled into a gas station saying he needs gas.

Then the same thing happened on the third date.... at which point I gathered that he was rather spaced out.

Re: Dating Stories
This story. You were saying it would be idiotic not to help her. I was justifying why she would dump him for pulling her off the street

One doesn't need to learn gemara to have common sense
