Re: Marriott Hotels
Any ideas what to pick for Platinum gift? 5 suite awards? When do they expire? If I choose 5 night elite credit would it roll over to next year?

Will not roll over and 5 suite nights expire Dec 31 2021.

SNA are usually the best at 50.

Re: #Bonvoyed - Master thread - Post all Bonvoyed related content - Only Negative
We definitely are.  Working on Hyatt globalist and he's almost there.

But this is a problem in Bal Harbor/Surfside:
Hyatt has no properties remotely close to there.

I know it's their policy not to upgrade (I saw the memo Dan had once posted in one of his posts on the main site) but it still irks me whenever they outright lie to me or anyone else.

You mean specifically St Regis Bal Harbor or any St Regis has a policy of not upgrading?

 St Regis Bal Harbor
I do think someone shall sue Marriott for violating their own T&C.
They get ppl to spend money and then deny them what they are promised.

Re: **Shipping Master Thread** What service To Use When
Wow his response time kicks.

And I asked for an Express Label and I got from Charles a marketing mail label.. have no clue what that is.
 Let's hope it gets there.
His labels has been amazing till now so not quite sure what happened. And lately the gray scaled area on the label as if someone copied and pasted all over the label.

Will try this guru guy for some labels and see how it goes.

I also started using Shipping Easy (free up to 50 packages per month) due to unreliability at USPS.

Re: Barclaycard Aviator (AA)
Makes me wonder if they honor any promotions?
Yeah, totally crazy.
They knew they didn't honor yet didn't care until I filed  a complaint.

Re: Who Will Trump Pardon In His Remaining Hours ?
why would a president give out pardons for people that were convicted of wrongdoing? Is it because he feels like the sentence was not justified? or just because people ask him to?

In short its supposed to act as a check on prosecutors who are almost always overzealous at best.

Also a way to give ppl that have rehabilitated a back into society.

Re: Quarantine required when landing in the US?
Elections have consequences

This sounds just like Cuomo's order.
Reminds me of...
Most likely not legal and enforceable!!

Re: Is It Ethical?
Right now, due to COVID, some airlines permit cancelling a flight at the last minute due to COVID, with no penalty.

I want to fly with my infant child, and not pay for his seat. The flight has a connection on the outbound leg, and is direct on the inbound leg.

Would it be ethical for me to book my child his own seat, and then, if the first leg of the outbound flight is not sold out, cancel his ticket the morning of the outbound flight so that his seat (next to mine) hopefully remains empty (and instead pay for a lap infant fee)?

Now, let's say we agree that the above is not unethical-- do I further need to confirm that all the other flights are not sold out? And does it make a difference if the inbound flight is sold out, as there remains a week after the outbound flight for someone else to purchase that ticket?
Ethics aside, practically speaking you can book a refundable ticket on a random name

Just FYI this will be easier then buying a ticket for infant and cancelling.
You'll need to add the infant as a lap infant and in some tight timing it wont be practical.

Re: Please Help.. Stuck without a place to sleep in Dallas
Happy to hear. For next time, AirBnb has some great options in DFW for very cheap.
Checked, No AirBNB's [bookable] , also many blackouts throughout TX  (that's why hotels were/are sold out)
He got walked from 1st property that I booked him, but 2nd worked like a charm.

My honor helping another DDF'r when possible and thanks to @YitzyS for the shoutout.

Re: Frontier kicks off Frum family for 15MO not wearing a mask While on this topic, I was on a flight with a similar crazy story, Jewish guy got pulled of by cops upon landing, all worked out at the end but some FA's need "Jewish bias training".
We had a bunch of guys to put up a valid counter argument and shifted all the blame to the FA and made a scene, wasn't pretty.

Time to fly with a Go Pro rolling.

Crazy how they would just issue a statement like this without investigation.
Just always trust the FA..
