Re: Iceland Master Thread
How many days do you think you need to experience iceland? very tight on vacation days and was wondering if a wednesday night flight, getting in at 10pm wednesday and leaving sunday afternoon is long enough, or it to short and not worth the trip for just a thursday, friday and little sunday?

Definitely far too short.

If it's on a stopover from Europe it may make sense to see a few of the top sights in this time frame, but to "experience Iceland"? Waaaay too short.

Re: Random Posts So I came up with an app idea over Shabbos... You enter your location, style of learning, gemora/halacha/whatnot, and the app gives you chavrusa suggestions which you can then swipe right to accept or left to reject.

Gonna be called Shtinder.

Re: Something Fishy Photo Workshops Master Thread
Is the eclipse a photography event of a HTBT event? Google will be filled with pictures of the eclipse.

True, which is why I haven't planned something yet. If my work sends me, awesome. If there's enough interest here, awesome again. But I don't think I would go otherwise.

One unique place to capture the eclipse would be off the Pacific coast of Oregon - you'd be able to see an eclipsed sun rise.

Except that the sun rises in the east :D. And that the eclipse over the Oregon coast happens around 4 hours after sunrise...

ETA: Just noticed that you wrote "OFF the coast". But my second point still stands ;).

Re: Ecco shoes for wide feet
My feet are huge (size 13 and on the wide side)

Only such problems ;D. Try being a size 17-21 (depending on brand).

That being said, for the last 5 years I've been buying Ecco that's one or two sizes too small (they don't make 'em any bigger) and they stretch to a perfectly comfortable size in around 2 weeks.

So if you get a size 13 (equivalent) Ecco, you'd likely be uncomfortable for a few weeks and then very comfortable for a long while. Worst case get it somewhere with a good return policy.

Re: Girls banned for wearing leggings on UA News Story From today's TBB ;D:

There was an incident about leggings on United flights. A total non story as former flight attendant Ramsey explained in the comments. And the whole internet went ballistic. Numerous posts about leggings, The Points Guy Inc even did a #LeggingsGateSpecial Report (yeah, please stop laughing) and One Mile at a Time even went on a local NBC affiliate to show his expertise on leggings. Mommy Points posted pictures of her daughters in leggings. So much bandwidth to make you puke. I tried to convince my wife to wear leggings and let me post a few photos of her in my blog just as a parody…but I think she is getting a little tired of my funny requests lately “I am NOT Emily”…When she gets mad I am scared lol.

Re: Ecco shoes for wide feet
Shoe stores carry an amazing little red bottle that contains liquid shoe stretch. It varies $3-$6. You get the leather wet and wear the shoes for a couple hours. The leather has to dry before you take it off or else it will shrink back. You can even make your own with an alcohol base. Check Google.

Wow, never heard of this. Will look it up. Thanks.
