Does E-ZPass work everywhere in NY/NJ? I have I-Pass and it says works everywhere E-ZPass does.

Re: DO NOT EAT ANY ROMAINE LETTUCE!!!
Unless I am mistaken chicken is raw before it is cooked.  :)
yes. And then most sane people cook it thereby negating most of the risk....in my house though, we don't cook our lettuce to kill bacteria

Re: Is Royal Jordanian Safe? Just had a very pleasant flight ORD-AMM seat 1A (1C was empty so that was nice)
No issues at immigration (I wanted the stamp)  or at security.
Sitting in the Crown Lounge now awaiting flight to TLV.

Re: Real Life Israeli "Catch Me If You Can" Con Artist
Or Gilbert Chikli who invented the "CEO scam" and was able to persuade bank and company officers to transfer money by simply ringing them and impersonating their CEO. He lived in luxury in Ashdod for many years, but was dumb enough to travel to Ukraine to be arrested and handed over to France.
can't put a price on R"H in Uman :P

Re: Kavey El Hashem-Ein Keloykeinu. How come in every shul i'm always falling behind?
The average person speaks around 150 words per minute but many can go much higher (auctioneers can do as much as 400 words per minute). How many words are in תחנון and אין כאלקינו ?

Re: Craziest pesach chumra's!!
1. I'm pretty sure milk and a lot of cheeses and (usually non-processed) prepackaged meat is usually certified Kosher L'pesach year round.

2.  I imagine there a lot of things other than milk and ham which could potentially be used in a butcher shop that are not kosher l'pesach. Unless it's strictly a butcher shop only that sells nothing but raw meat.
1. Added vitamins are problematic
2. Raw meat includes schnitzel and seasoned meats which can contain chometz

Re: Kashering Lodge Cast Iron Pots
This is what's brought down in the ב''י  as well. It seems clear from the Mordechai that יד סולדת משני עבריה & הקש נשרף worked about the same. (It seems clear that the Rem"a didn't agree with  יד סולדת משני עבריה but the Shulchan Aruch Harav did. The PM"G makes a 3rd level) but from the Mordechai it should be clear that kash nisraf can happen at below 440F

What is the purpose of this thread?

Re: Publishing Davening Times - Security vs. Utility
Post-9/11 airport security also inconveniences everyone, but it's (mostly) necessary to protect against terrorism. Is that bowing to terrorism? Should we not have this level of security?

Besides, I'd prefer to bow to terrorism than get shot by a terrorist.
has the TSA actually thwarted any terror attacks? Would they have actually stopped the 9-11 hijackers with their miserable success rates. But if going through the motions makes you feel better, by all means. I have accidentally brought items through security that could potentially be very dangerous. I once had all my binding equipment packed in a suitcase intended for checking but took it carry on last minute, forgetting what was inside.
