Re: INTERNATIONAL: Need help finding a rental car? Post here! (Master thread)
Pickup location: FRAFound for $100 on www.xrentalcars.com if you choose on the result page residency in Germany or Switzerland. If you could arrange to be back a little earlier at the airport, so let's say pickup and return at 7 am, it's available at $75. March 16, 2017, 05:13:24 PM |

Re: INTERNATIONAL: Need help finding a rental car? Post here! (Master thread)
thanks! if i residency in Germany would NY DL be a problem? It's my site. You will receive a voucher, so what you filled in is irrelevant. I wouldn't boast with it, as obviously it's not the idea. You can place Switzerland as resident as well. (So that it's not supposedly a domestic rental). The insurances offered have nothing to do with your CC. Someone did tell me (not sure if true) that your American CC insurance don't want you to involve other insurances, so if ch"v needed, you'd just use your CC insurance, and ignore the included insurances with your rental. My 2nd Android app
Hi to all, This new app is really only a shortcut to the "change keyboard settings". (So really lightweight) https://tinyurl.com/y7grg3n3 Google play store is so tough, that unless you have x amounts of downloads you don't appear in their search results. And getting good ratings promotes the ranks = many more downloads from random people. So please, if you could install this tiny program, give a good rating, and uninstall in longer than a month, otherwise the rating and ranking drops. (Negative ratings always remain...) What it does: For people using multiple keyboards (not one keyboard that allows changing the layout/language), one must go quite deep into settings just to switch. (There is a Widget as well) That's a crazy task for someone needing to switch often. My app offers the solution. Thank you so very much! July 21, 2017, 06:29:17 AM |

Re: A Summer Trip to Morocco: Marrakech, Casablanca, Fes
Thanks for the very nice and in depth TR. I did only Marrakech and a bit less intense and without guide (if I were a girl, I'd for sure take one to brush off the men, which I now I had to brush off myself). I climbed (from Imlil indeed) the Jibl Toubkal, the highest mountain of North Africa. It is a lovely country but I would not have dared visiting it in the summer (I'm not good with heat). If pictures are requested, I could post, but I don't like to unfocus your nice tr. September 27, 2017, 09:03:59 AM |

Also above 17,000 ft / 5200 m. Those kids live and play where others barely breath. I gave them a little ride, and they loved it. This is the highest altitude people live on regular basis. Higher than that the body slowly disintegrates. ![]() September 30, 2017, 10:45:50 PM |

Dover England? Very niceYes, thanks. An hour before heading there I checked the forecast (hourly). Supposedly no rain whatsoever for 24h. It didn't stop for a second. Someone told me that in the UK it rains always so they would only write when it doesn't rain.... January 10, 2018, 02:11:07 AM |

Signal Jammer
Hi guys, Where could one buy a powerful jammer that blocks cellphones from speaking and data in a rather large room. I was looking around but it seems that only shady sites sell them. I understand that it might be illegal some places, but it's not for use in the USA. Thank you very much. January 18, 2018, 03:32:11 AM |

Re: Tallest peak in the alps- Shortest TR
Nice trip report. I'm glad you mentioned the detox of flying just upper classes, which has an interesting way to mess up ones brain. You were unlucky on the first stretch with Pegasus, but its usually an excellent low-cost. The discrepancy in the spend is the one hour taxi ride, which I don't want to know what it costed. Hopefully the next day you did it by bus or train. I was hoping that you climbed the Mont Blanc, which wasn't the case, but at least you didn't promote staying in the Hyatt. Thanks for this report, I like it. February 21, 2019, 02:37:34 AM |

Exactly, we didn't gameplan for that as it was unexpected. Purpose of this post was to make others thinking of a HC itinerary take that issue into account.Yes, your intention was clear and appreciated. October 12, 2019, 03:24:42 PM |

This chassid won $3 million on the lottery last weekend so he decided to donate a quarter to charity. Now he has $2,999,999.75.Chassidim are usually generous, so the word litvak is probably more appropriate. August 14, 2020, 02:24:17 AM |
