He's not asking for a link to the link. He just wants to know if maybe this guy used the link that went public, thereby negating the DP that downgrading right away is a clawback.

How does that price work? You transferred MR somewhere or you didn't have enough points, so you had to pay cash for the remainder?
I transferred MR to BA to IB with the 40% bonus.

The cash is the taxes and fees.

Re: "it's just like the flu"
The arrogance comes from the president

And even worse is the perpetuation of this idiotic mindset. Constantly looking for ways to minimize the severity, even after we've seen just how deadly it is when unchecked.

Re: Violent protests erupt across the country
The world doesn't revolve around Trump!
Definitely seems to be a common denominator here.

Explains the DDF'ers who both understated the severity of covid and also feel the tragedy here is only the looting, not the fact that police brutality turns deadly time and again. ;)

Re: How did they do it? New Zealand declares itself coronavirus-free.
But you see the second wave. Clearly.
Why the absolutes?

The numbers definitely went down significantly, but to say that covid is gone is (potentially dangerous) idiocy.

Why can't we recognize that while many restrictions can be eased you should still try to minimize contact and wear a mask etc.?

Enough with the blaming authorities for being too extreme, just be responsible for yourself, your family and your community.

June 10, 2020, 04:27:52 AM
Re: Is there a second wave?
IIRC I posted elsewhere 'round here. Going too far and extreme one way, simply backfired.
As I posted elsewhere 'round here.. Because authorities went too far you now will no longer take some simple steps to protect yourself, your family and your community?

What's with this disdain when one mentions you should wear a mask and not pretend covid is done for good?

Re: The myth of the current state of COVID-19 in Israel
Yup, israel doesn't  know what they're doing.... trying to shut down chareidi cities.
I love your agenda. At least you don't try hiding it.

News flash: The world is NOT out to get the chareidim.

Did you see anyone here advocating gassing and using rubber bullets against peaceful protesters? I haven't.
You should try to keep up with the threads. @CountValentine and maybe one or two others were the only ones voicing concern about said event.

Re: Will the truth come out how this administration made blunder after blunder?
If masks work so well why are people in israel getting corona.... hint they're not that effective.
Do you honestly believe the stupidity you peddle?

Re: Do you know someone who has had Coronavirus after Pesach?
IME it takes getting used to. The first few days I wore a mask I also couldn't breath and felt claustrophobic. After 2-3 days of wearing it I did not have any issue.

Anyone living in Israel had to go through this as we can't walk outside without a mask without getting fined.

It's not really comfortable, but there aren't any breathing issues after getting used to it.

Re: The current state of COVID-19 in Israel
Take this as you like.

The Times of Israel reports a hospital director said most COVID-19 patients who died at his institution had approximately a year’s life expectancy.

“Coronavirus was the thing that tipped them over, but to be honest, for most of these patients who died here in Shaare Zedek, the chance is they had a year of life expectancy, not much more,” said Ofer Merin.

Around 1 in 10 Israelis who died from coronavirus succumbed at Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem, where Merin is Director. He told Times of Israel that almost all the institution’s fatalities were both elderly and had other diseases.
What exactly are you trying to prove? A week or two ago you were saying how the number of new patients in serious condition hasn't gone up and so we shouldn't be too concerned about rising positives.

Now the numbers are catching up and the number of those in serious condition is unfortunately rising quickly.

Now this is your new narrative of the week?

Re: The current state of COVID-19 in Israel My issue is that I believed in masks 100% until I saw what's happening here in Israel.

We have I'd presume one of the highest rates of mask-wearing outside of Asia and yet we somehow have the highest percentage of new covid cases each day.

Just because a few chareidi neighborhoods don't wear masks that doesn't explain the numbers across the entire country.

Re: Assumptions of the Medical Community - The Shulchan Aruch's View It's really astounding to see the lengths some people in our community go to avoid taking precautions. From 'masks don't work' to it's not a safek pikuach doctors have no idea what's going on.

We were probably hit harder than most yet seem the most resistant to taking simple common sense precautions.

Where does this come from? What is the underlying issue that I'm missing?

October 02, 2020, 06:55:56 AM
Re: Assumptions of the Medical Community - The Shulchan Aruch's View
There are many factors. But the blatant hypocrisy and double standards of the government agencies and medical professionals, irresponsible media that is designed to tear us apart, and nonsensical and draconian lockdowns didn't help anyone.
Why should any of that matter more than our actual health?

It's about our personal responsibility.
