Yes, that is why there is so little actual trading of bit coin (ie, so little actual usage). It's a commodity that is being hoarded. Ironically, because it has no intrinsic valueYou said it ![]() November 28, 2017, 11:21:52 PM |

Re: BitCoin Master Thread
In the old days, there was a saying by Jesse Livermore--when your barber and the shoe shine boy start giving stock tips, that is the time to sell everything. This past week, I was asked what I think of Bitcoin by people who never traded or invested in stocks ,fx,futures etc. The parabolic rise is by all the late comers buying like crazy at these prices, currently $12270 see weekly chart as of now below, up OVER $6000 in 3 weeks, worth 10 gold ounces each ![]() https://www.tradingview.com/x/TAa5mLi1/ December 05, 2017, 10:48:54 PM |

Kodak spiked 136% after it announced it launched its own form of blockchain
Shares of Kodak spiked after the photo company announced it would launch its own form of blockchain technology dubbed "KodakCoin." Kodak's stock is up 66.91% at $11.40 in pre-market trading on Wednesday. Shares soared as much as 136% on Tuesday, the day the news was initially announced. So the madness is spreading, KODK stock went from $3 to $13 in 2 days, a co. losing money and he stock was going downhill , quadrupled in 2 days just by adding KodakCoin. In 2000 right before the Nasdaq crash and .com bubble, many companies did add the words internet, and .com etc Short 3000 shares @ $12.75 KODK chart https://www.tradingview.com/x/Ph5CvFl3/ January 10, 2018, 02:05:08 PM |

Any book by or about Jesse Livermore 3. Marty Shwartz Pit Bull Lessons from Wall Street's champion trader 4. Market Wizards 5.The New Market Wizards 6. 3 books by my mentor Trader Vic a.Trader Vic Methods of a Wall Street Master b. Trader Vic 2 Principles of Speculation c. Trader Vic on Commodities. From a poker player and runner boy on wall street to one of the world's most successful traders ever. 7. 2 books by Victor Niederhoffer a. The Education of a Speculator b. People got used to buying dips and making big profits, and the market will always come back. How many people here remember the 2000 Nasdaq crash, IT TOOK 16 YEARS TO JUST BREAK EVEN-and there were many periods in recent history where people never recovered their losses during their lifetime. Take a look at the monthly chart of the nasdaq below and see the 16 year period it took to break even , for people who bought close to the top in 2000. https://www.tradingview.com/x/eFIUCx3C/ February 05, 2018, 11:55:44 PM |

Go to Fidelity, Charles Schwab, T Rowe Price, Vangaurd and you can set up automatic investments in Index Funds, Its usually called Equity 500 Index fund or something similar Its very easy2000 crash, took 16 years to regain capital, 2008-2009 , a massacre that took years for only those who did not panic to regain their huge losses, in the long term we are all dead, it does not always work. Re: Stocks
We have already established that facts and numbers are not his strong point.Wrong. Sorry, I do not agree with you about the DOW, which in this case from 2000 also took 8 years to catch up to the 2000 highs. The Nasdaq and S&P are what counts, on which exchange are AAPL,AMZN,TSLA,AAPL,NFLX,GOOG etc traded?. And the SPX represents 500 of Americas largest corporations, who cares about the DOW, it represents 30 stocks, it does not represent the market, only naive investors ask what did the Dow close at? Professionals will be quoting the SPX and NDX. Just my humble opinion. ![]() NDX chart 2000-2016 16 years is a lifetime!! https://www.tradingview.com/x/tIha3Lbg/ April 22, 2018, 09:49:55 PM |

Re: Amex Offers Discussion Thread
People placing multiple Staples.com GC orders beware. My orders in the last few days got cancelled. Called in. CSR said that they are specifically limiting customers using Amex cards and placing gift card orders "because the Amex sync 10% promotion is supposed to only be 1 per customer".I had it on only 10 cards, my Staples store manager is a good friend, he let me purchase all in one day, he kept each transaction at $1000 x 10 transactions and was done. Re: Virgin Atlantic Sweet Spot: YYZ (Toronto) to AMS (Amsterdam) on Jet Airways
Wow! Just curious why you used to go on the same tour every day? Were you a tourguide?Sorry, should have clarified, never did any of these tours, in my younger days I was an airline pilot, started flying for the airlines at a very young age , my first position was a 2nd officer-yes they had a 3rd pilot at the cockpit those days, if he was pilot rated and an FE he was called a 2nd officer, if he had just an FE ticket then was called a Flight Engineer with no promotion possibilities to FO. I studied at Braniff International Airlines at Dallas Love Field, upon graduation they hired me as a B727 2nd officer moved up to Captain on the 727 with Eastern Airlines , flew as an FO on the Tristar L1011 my favorite airplane of all time, then flew as a B767-200 Captain for a Norwegian Airline Braathens Safe till 1997 when it was acquired by SAS.
