Re: Airline Gift Cards And Vouchers Master Thread
Whoa! That's pretty drastic of him. However, he did post a week ago that he wasn't getting a response from you.
Obviously there is more going on here...

Either way, I'm not sure what is going on here from either side. He bought a gift card. He got a refund. Whether a partial refund for what happened or a partial refund because his flight got cancelled for weather and he drove, it gets refunded back to the GC. That isn't the seller's issue to refund.
Full stop.
That means that the buyer has a GC balance for the future to use. It's one of the drawbacks of buying a GC to use.
What the buyer is entitled to is access to the GC to use. Is that being given? It's the buyer's issue to deal with United and trying to find it.

For those that need an example: If I buy a GC for a restaurant, and I order over the phone for delivery, they run the GC and send the order. When they deliver the food, I realize they messed up the order. I call and they say they'll refund the GC. It isn't the seller's issue at all. It's my issue to find the refund and use it in the future. It doesn't matter if the seller called in the payment with the GC or I did. Only thing seller "owes me" is access to the GC.

1. That's exactly right.  I waited 2-3 months. Seller stopped responding.  I filed a claim.

2. I completely agree with this analogy - in this case, the $120 credit went to the gift bank.  I should be able to use that credit.  I don't know why you can't log into it to see your balance anymore.  Obviously you could before because you were selling it, and knew what amount you were selling.  You also mentioned something about a refund that you saw on it, but for the incorrect amount.

3. I have all the emails to back my position, and if you don't agree, that is fine. I would rather have a neutral arbitration anyways.  Only reason I had to go to paypal is because you weren't responding.

Thanks all for chiming in, whether you agreed with me or him.

I don't know if I agree with what he's doing, but I definitely don't agree with you.

Give him access to the account. End of story.

Still no access to the account...been promised it for over three months.

Here is what I propose -- the money isn't the important thing - the principle is.

Why don't you let anyone audit it -- post screenshots.  Then if the money is there, donate to a charity of your choice! That way someone benefits.

You shouldn't just get to keep it.  I also won't get it.

Re: Marriott Certs Sale
You are not transferring anything, you are booking it for yourself and adding a 2nd guest who will also be able to check in.

I guess the question he is having is: lets say he shows up with his partner.  Only he is on the res and the certificate holder is on the res.  Will they let his partner join him? Or do they have to upgrade rooms?

Re: Stella Immanuel Asks Why We Don't Prescribe Prophylactic Hydroxychloroquine So I am Anesthesiologist who has worked with and treated COVID patients.

I am not sure why people think we are scared of big pharma.  I could care less where or what drug I use in a patient, as long as it makes them better.  I don't get any benefit at ALL from using one drug over another.  I wouldn't be scared to use a generic, in fact, most of us always do if possible.

I think you are nuts if you listen to that video, but, feel free to do that and follow the advice from Dr. Immanuel.

Remember, she said: “You don’t need masks” to prevent spread of the coronavirus.

You are also welcome to walk around in my ICU without a mask, and you can take your HCQ (just make sure to wear a mask so you don't infect innocent bystanders after you are infected).

You do you. I'll do whats best for my patients.

;D Yup, I hardly ever post anything here and I am getting all caught up! Its crazy. These conversations are such a waste of time bc nobody really knows a thing. Its all speculation about stuff that we really dont know. Nobody knows

Scientists know stuff. Like everything else in life there are good scientists and bad scientists. Credentials usually help decipher and seperate  them. Therein lies the major difference between trump fanatics and everyone else. They don’t in general believe in science or experts.
