Re: DIY (Do It Yourself Repairs) - Successes and Blunders
After an hour of trying, I looked behind the dryer and realized that I had forgotten to turn the gas back on after installing the part - it worked flawlessly.
Can't tell you how many times I have heard this. At least you had the common sense to shut the gas off in the first place.

Re: DIY (Do It Yourself Repairs) - Successes and Blunders Major brain freeze. Front brake job. Car on jack stands. Everything on both front wheels disassembled. Reassembled left side, rotors and pads. Go to bleed. After 4 or 5 pumps of the brake pedal I realized there is nothing stopping the right side piston from coming out of the caliper. You guessed it. Brake fluid all over the place. Not sure if you ever tried getting a piston back in a caliper but let me tell you it is not fun.

Re: DIY (Do It Yourself Repairs) - Successes and Blunders
Don't know if I'd call this DIY, but changing the cartridges on my under-the-sink filter, figured I'd pull the line going in and have it drain into a bucket while I quickly swapped the filters and then screw the line back in.

I VERY seriously underestimated the amount of water that can come out of a 1/8" tube.
They make these things called shut off values.  ;)

Re: The Pros And Cons Of Where You Live
It’s NY without the benefits.
I really miss the stench of garbage. What would Times Square be without garbage on the sidewalk? Is that one of the benefits of NY?

Re: Flying up over streight
Key word, "seems". You didn't say anything that contradicts what I said, all you said more was why someone would think you aren't flying direct when I fact you may be.
...but you should have not of -1 the post.  ;)

Re: US Politics/2016 Election Pick Your Poison Master Thread Has Trump completely lost his mind retweeting these conspiracy theories? Conway got it right.

Re: Rubashkin freed from prison.
We're not really arguing, the core points could be true but the way it was reported was clumsy at best, dangerous at worst.

As for point number 2, the Orthodox make up such a tiny part of the electorate, and mostly in blue states anyway. Rubashkin had/will have 0% affect on the vote. Attributing political power where there is none is classic anti semitism which has gotten thousands of Jews killed throughout the ages.
Would it be fair to say "words matter"? When you use words like this article (as you point out) or words like Trumps uses (as I constantly point out) it is a dangerous game that is being played?

Re: Impossible Burger 2.0 Who comes up with this crap. The reason they call it "impossible" is because it will never taste like a real burger.
