Re: Cancun, Mexico Master Thread
Can anyone recommend a safe airport transfer company for a family of 5 from CUN to the hotel zone (round trip)? How long in advance does that need to be booked?

Re: The Pfizer Vaccine and do people who had COVID already need the vaccine? I think this vaccine will turn a lot of people into anti-vaxxers.  I'm a big believer overall, but when I see how they approved these vaccines which don't begin to make sense I'm starting to doubt this whole process. Impossible to have necessary research on this after 3-4 months. shouldn't they know long term side effects? shouldn't they know first what percentage this will actually help or what percentage will have an allergic reaction?

Re: Coronavirus Stimulus Aid Package
PPP Round 2: Business is classified under NAICS 72 (food establishment), get a PPP loan at 3.5X of monthly payroll, instead of the regular 2.5X.
I'm so happy to hear this!! I always feel bad for one of the biggest victims of covid, the restaurants :(

Re: What size suit are you?
I'm starting a new side hustle and trying to figure out what the most common sizes are. If you don't mind helping a brother out, please comment with your size and don't forget to indicate whether it's short, long or regular. Thank you in advance!
Before you start a garment or clothing business please pm me. I can share some valuable information.

Okay relax. Everything will be okay. Just stop following the news and you will be fine.
I used to say the same...

Current situation is extremely alarming.

Re: Jewish Music (New CDs, hock, and opinions) Finally got to listen to Off the Record from Baruch Levine.

Does anyone else find that there is no cohesiveness from song to song? these mixes usually have a flow, but this record is just bunch of mini songs, with one song nothing to do with the other...

I mean I like each track individually. But doesnt seem to work all together

Re: President Biden ‘Nothing We Can Do To Change Trajectory Of Pandemic’ - Joe Biden

Same person that complained that Trump did nothing.

Typical lying politician. Lies and paints Trump bad just to get the position of president

Re: President Biden
I would imagine they can be enforced to some extent, and hopefully it will push GOP & other leaders to stop turning masks and covid into the stupidest culture war. Otherwise you are right and the only point they serve is satisfying the electorate.

Earlier on Texas had some of the strictest quarantines in the country
GOP? you gotta be kidding me.  Last I checked the day after Biden took office Cuomo announced we need to ease restrictions.   Politics is played on both sides.

Re: BobTeam Edelman / 2022 Olympics thread
I'm very sorry that the last few weeks haven't had an update. Things have been harder than I thought they'd get to.

Thank you for caring and being supportive. It means the world.
Wow.  Raw honesty.  I really hope you make it and I hope more people here will try to help out financially. I donated some time ago and I will definitely try to contribute again.

@all of DDF.  if I remember correctly a run is like to $70.  Can we raise in the next 24 hours at least $500 to cover a few runs?

@hgeek23 you are extremely inspiring!

Re: Billion $ Ideas
Could cost you $50-100k or more, do you have that kind of money to invest?
Should be closer to $10k. And then international patent costs more.

But you must have a good patent lawyer to make it fool proof

Re: Pregnancy and Covid
I don't think we're going to know more anytime soon.
Need to live life, take precautions, daven, and have emuna+bitachon.
I agree 100%  and I think at this point everyone is shifting to more and more emunah and less and less precautions   ;) which I'm more than happy.

But women can still be more emotional or concerned. More emotional,  less logical.   Haven't you read Men are from Mars? ;D

Re: Lakewood covid cases
Like visiting grandparents?
Like visiting but no real kissing or hugging grandparents that have not yet had covid. Standing far from immunocompromised relatives etc.

Re: Lakewood covid cases
And those arguing with him weren't arguing for total shutdown, only for a better balance
Well,  better balance is up for discussion.   I'm trying to be reasonable and find my own responsible balance. I think I'm taking quality of life a notch up from you. But I respect your opinions because I don't think k there is a right or wrong here.

No. It started that way, but I don't believe was meant after testing positive. Especially with the "few years" in there.
Not sure what you mean. Just to clarify my stance.  All I said was feeling fine, go to grandma with precautions.  Obviously once we got a positive then grandma (and the rest of the world) is off limits until further notice.    And I had a seperate issue with testing testing no reason.  Thats all

Re: Lakewood covid cases
Refuah Sheleima to you both! Hope you get over this fast, with the same smile that your avatar displays.

I don't want to sound like a broken record, but please consider antibody treatment. You can call Bikur Cholim to find out if you are eligible.
Thanks but its been a few days. fever came and went quickly. I'm young. I dont think I need treatment.

So...why did you get tested?
Thanks! honestly just to make sure and for them to check oxygen levels. my brother tested positive yesterday and he was sure he had it a few months ago.

Refuah Sheleima

Make sure to wear a mask when hugging bubby...  ::)

at least after this I will feel less guilty around older people ;)

Re: Lakewood covid cases I'm done discussing it.  I think when it comes to covid, lockdown. Quality of life etc. People have different opinions.  My opinion might be totally wrong, and I'm ok with that. But I definitely don't enjoy going back and forth ;)

Re: Lakewood covid cases Ok seriously guys, I have been having non stop hiccups the last few days.  Can we switch the subject here?

Or the Mods will have to change the title of this thread to  "Mordyk's Covid Master thread"

Re: Unemployment Help
Called many times, got through and spoke to people a few times. Each time was told that we would hear back from them within 4 weeks. Never happened until last month when they called back and asked for some more information and then told me to look out for an email which will allow me to certify for the missed weeks. I finally got that email around 2 weeks later.
which phone number?

Re: EL AL Stocks
The Gemara recounts the story of Onkeles asking business advice from his uncle the Emperor who responded- "Acquire something that seems cheap as it will always go up."

Onkeles took that advice to become a Yid as that was the "lowest" strata of humans in the eyes of the Romans to become a Yid- the highest of the high.

Consider the following- The airline industry in particular is struggling as many are not traveling. Their stocks are all down.

When people will take to the skies their stock will go up. Basic Economics.

Most major airlines are valued anywhere from $7-$60 a share.

I would like for you to consider the following- How much do you think a share for EL AL is currently at? The only Shomer Shabbos airline, the national airline of Eretz Yisroel? ( I know DD has issues with their price structure and Matmid etc.)

Ready for this- their stock is less than eighteen cents!!
ELALF on the OTC market can be purchased and as of last week they posted a gain of over 3000%!

To me it is definitely worth putting something in as it is so cheap and BEZ"H we will all make money if we were to invest. I'm just putting it out there for DD fans to get into "the next Bitcoin".

Wishing you much Hatzlacha and remember the Vilna Gaon's promise of guaranteed wealth to those that give 20%- so make sure you and all those invested have the strength to immediately donate when BEZ"H the money comes flowing in!

Yehoshua Sova

P.S. I am not an investor and have as much Shaychus to this industry as I do to Molecular BioScience.

This stock IMHO is just connecting the dots and doing what DD does- help others gain - especially when there is a place to BEZH make significant money.
go learn basics about stocks.  Hint: Market Cap

price really doesnt matter.   Price of stock x outstanding stock = Market Cap
