Re: Chabad Minhagim: Pros & Cons

Not sure why that's sinas chinam. It can just as easily be bias or stubbornness. Sinas chinam would be hating a fellow jew. I can think of many groups of jews that have criticisms on other groups but do not hate them. And some of those criticisms would be called by many others absurd.
Basically, Cbc thinks chabad is crazy and views them through that prism.

Re: Yom Kippur Davening
At the Rebbe's Room in 770
Ma'ariv ended 9:20
Tehillim ended 10:30
Shachris-Musaf - 10:00-3:30 (I think that's a record)
Mincha-Ne'ila - 5:15-7:45
Oops, maybe I shouldn't have mentioned the Tehillim part. Is it bordering on Kefira to say the whole Tehillim on the night of YK? Is there widespread criticism of the practice which I'm not aware of?

Re: Chabad Minhagim: Pros & Cons

Enjoy your rainy undecorated succas!

This is great!

I think anyone who eats in an undecorated Sukah in the rain is proud of doing so and wouldn't be offended by such a wish.

On that note,

Enjoy sleeping in your Sukah with the rain cover closed!

Hey, if that's what your Rabbi's say is the right thing, then that's definitely what you should be doing and enjoying, even if I can't make sense of it...

Re: Random Posts For Non-Meshugeners
It's amazing the difference between a good rep and a bad rep. Trying to change a SPG reservation. The first rep was trying to explain to me why it made sense that my points balance would reflect the points being deducted twice. The second rep proactively realized that the points were being deducted twice and is calling the help desk to ensure that doesn't happen.

Re: Master Thread of Pet Peeves I remember countless situations where I wish people clicked reply all and they didn't.
I remember a handful of situations where people clicked reply all when I didn't want them to.
One particular project I was working on had set very clear guidelines, if you were in the "to" field, then the email was for you to respond to, if you were in the "CC" field then the email isn't directed at you, rather it's for you to be aware of what's going on and for the recipient to be aware that you are looped in.

Re: "First" in Antarctica?
Mid 90s, my father was a rov/mashgiach on such a cruise. Granted this seems to be *far* better arranged by Dan and SF, but there have been minyanim and shiurim in Antarctica.
Pretty cool

Re: MASTER THREAD: Using CC cards in Israel and maximizing benefits while traveling

and i think some of the older threads (like 4 years ago) with no recent conversations or posts should be deleted, and then it will also be cleaner.

Hence:

My comment was just about the difference in the way you see these forums working and the way these forums work.
