Re: Jokes Master Thread
Customer: Hi. How much is your
paint? Clerk: Well, sir, that all depends
on quite a lot of things.
Clerk: No, we’ll charge you an
extra use fee plus the
difference on your next gallon
of paint. But I believe you’re
getting it now, sir. Customer: You’re insane! Clerk: Thanks for painting with
Friday Fun Airlines!

I think this was awesome!

About a third of the way through I guessed what the author was getting at.

I received this on Thursday night, now although this really should've been posted on a Friday, I was looking for that right thread to post in until I just gave up and put it here.

Re: 1 day or 2 days in Israel I spent one YT in Eretz Yisroel.
At first I was very bothered, I researched the entire Sugya and it seemed that whatever I did I would get it wrong according to some respectable opinions.
After thinking through it many times I came to an understanding that whatever you do there are many merits and explanations for those opinions and as long as that's what your LOR told you to do, you're good.

Re: 1 day or 2 days in Israel
on a forum hosted by a chabadsker at least acknowledge that chabad follows the baal hatanya and chacham tzvi and do 1 day in israel
There are many varying sources in Chabad itself as to what's the correct way to do it.

Re: Shlichus Addiction?
My uneducated guess is that the reason chabadskers struggle so much with this directive, is because it is contradicted by the general chabbad directive to "get out there and mingle"...

In beney berak for eg, there is no such contradiction. Educational institutions are dedicated only to Torah study, preparing students for a life dedicated to Torah study. It's simple.
Not "to get out there and mingle" but more to balance an educational institute where those less observant will feel welcome and can grow from those more observant while at the same time those more observant don't lose out from being on a lower level.

Re: Flying Turkish
Is it still safe to do the stop over in Istanbul even with all of the new developments with the government?
Don't do it. Statistically, 46% of people who do it don't survive. Of those who do survive, 17% walk away with missing limbs.
If you look very Jewish the chances of survival are less.

Re: Re: Comments That Leave Me Speechless...
theres something called a mumar in my language whether you like it or not. Also there's no way in the world I'm ever learning chasidus. This being a classic example of twisting things the wrong way which end up contradicting chazal but hey it doesn't matter because it's chassidus

Just catching up and came across this. I do feel that this post is somewhat degrading a part of Torah that Gedolim bigger than me and you in previous generations endorsed and I wouldn't start up with such things but that's your choice.

I haven't read the article that ExGingi posted a link to nor have I noticed a response from you but I'll just leave you with a question.

Is a Mumar, a bad Jew or is he a good Jew, a son of G-D, a son of Avraham Yitzchok and Yaakov who has a holy Neshama who has unfortunately done bad things?

Just to set the record, Chassidus doesn't and can't contradict Chazal for a number of reasons, so if you seem to have come across such an instance, either you haven't understood the Chassidus or you haven't understood the Ma'amar Chazal.

Re: PSA: List of NYC Area Hospital Sukkahs and Bikur Cholim Rooms
Anyone knows if the Roosevelt Mount Sinai Hospital on W. 58th St. has a Bikur Cholim room, and if yes  where it's located .
From a friend:

"I think they do. I know for sure they have a Shabbos elevator. I have never used the bikur cholim room there."
