Re: So How Was Your Shul This Week? I'll be the first to break the ice I guess...

In BP most shulls were open, packed with no social distancing what's so ever.

Corona is a thing of the past. Not a single new case in weeks... (the official new cases being released is probably people retesting)

Hospitalizations rate (which is the only accurate indicator) of suspected covid cases in New York City is about 20 a day.

I passed by munkatch which was packed and a police car was in front of the shull doing nothing..

A clean Mikvah in Williamsburg  :o
And here we go off topic again. Let's try not to. But I'll reply that you haven't been to Williamsburg mikvahs in a while. They probably have the nicest mikvahs worldwide.

Most new mikvehs being built there are nicer than most ladies mikvahs out there.

Re: Re: So How Was Your Shul This Week?
“Tatty, can you tell me a story?”

“Sure! My neighbor’s father locked himself in his house for 3 weeks before Purim. His kids and wife got “fed up”, so on Purim, he came to his son’s house for the seuda (staying a few feet away from everyone, of course). He died. Now my neighbor needs to keep his outdoor minyan going because there are too many chiyuvim in Shul and he needs to daven for the Amud. The end.”

*names and identifying details have been changed
This is precisely the stories people are fed up from hearing.

While the sad stories are beyond, the fact is that it's not Purim anymore. The fact is that there was a mere 20 hospitalizations in NYC yesterday on suspected covid cases.

I have a feeling that some people will be damaged from this forever. Soon there will be available surgery for masks implants.

Re: Stocks Gosh. It's beyond me what's happening. The only explanation I have is Trump’s מזל...

Re: Then/Now-Strict Covid Rules VS Lax Protest Rules-How the Gov. Can Bend Your Mind George Floyd will be remembered as ending the corona.

Literally a week ago you had all these liberals scream "how dare we try to open up the economy"

And now they all support these protests which have 0 social distancing. Mind boggling.

Re: Stocks
On what basis?
On what basis is this stock worth so much? On what basis is the market cap 63bb?

I'll give it to you that people will continue using zoom to a certain extent even after this is all over however most businesses will go back to normal.

To value zoom based on what's going on now doesn't make sense to me.

I may be wrong..

Re: Rayshard Brooks, another black man gunned down! What is this teaching black youth? That you can take away a taser from a law enforcement officer and get away with it?

People comparing this to Floyd's story are doing a disservice to this whole movement.

When you are being shot by a taser you can't move for a couple of seconds. Which means that the officer was at risk of having his gun taken away......

If you would do anything different at that situation, by all means please explain! Other than letting yourself being shot with the taser.
