Re: Seminary/Yeshiva Israel Rebbeim
How do you know? People arenít keen on admitting thatís the reason theyíre doing it, but through observation youíll find itís often the case. Not for everyone, of course. But for many.
I've had multiple recent conversations about this topic with friends as we are now beginning to send our own children. That many years removed, and in this context, I'm pretty confident that people are accurately reporting their motives and experiences.

Speaking for myself, I can honestly say that my time learning is EY positively impacted my life and continues to do so. I hope all my children have the same opportunities and positive experience.

Re: Seminary/Yeshiva Israel Rebbeim
- for their phone service, is it worth the hassle of suspending their us # or should I just keep it alive and forward it to their Israeli #?
I cancelled my son's US number, he was OK with it. My daughter wanted to keep her number so I kept it alive $6/month, did not forward anything.
Both had Golan in Israel 35 shekel/month.

Re: New TV shows.
Does Unorthodox miniseries (Netflix) not deserve even the slightest mention? I'm surprised that it didn't make here yet.

Anyone seen it?
while they may have gotten alot of the costumes (besides the shtreimlich ) right, the whole point of the movie is to knock the ultra orthodox community and those who know the writer know what i mean.

Re: Supreme Court Case - Espinoza v. Montana
every layperson is going to whine about how their tax dollars are paying for religious indoctrination.
Their taxpayer dollars are already paying for religious indoctrination. But now other religions can be paid for as well...

Re: El Al to be nationalized again
Press has been talking about potential buyers for LY.

Just thinking out loud. To buy control one needs to buy shares from Knafayin (currently valued at $27 million), plus take part in the $150m equity issuance, so that's another $57 million. So for $84m one can control the company.

No one would buy this without having agreements signs with all the unions for significant cost cutting.

So with that in mind one can buy a company that will be worth a lot more once it becomes profitable, and be able to receive dividends etc.

Am i missing something?
Time for a DD Kickstarter project ;D

Re: Dwyane Wade Tweets our support for an Anti-Semite
Is that supposed to be clever? None of his sisters and brothers are Jewish, so that's just a refusal to apologize.
You need to get out more if you don't know what he means by sisters and brothers.
