Re: credit score
Are all of those a hard inquiry ?
BTW Welcome back. I missed your insight about credit related info.

I'm not sure about some of them. Unless things have changed, NASA is a SP.

Re: Barclays US Airways
You can now sign up for the Barclays aviator card (red) in flight.

You can also apply online:  https://home.barclaycardus.com/cards/aadvantage-aviator-red-world-elite-mastercard.html

Re: JP Morgan Reserve
But it's not a negotiation (if it was I would love to hear the recording...), probably a hack, hook-up, loophole, or similar.

I would like to hear what Dan has to say, but I doubt that you are correct. If you start with less than $250K, it is up to the discretion of the rep. There is no hack, just negotiation.

Re: Amex Vs. Chase
FTFY

Why would anyone who travels want to get banned from both?

Long term cards DO exist.

I personally feel like those 2 hybrid cards are more valuable than any miles card at this point and think a lot of people can benefit from having both.

I always book First/Business no matter what route I fly, so for domestic travel, the pay with points options for those cards are great.

Re: Amex Vs. Chase
Why would you fly business on short haul domestic?

Why would I not? Or maybe I should ask why you would not?

Because I enjoy the extra space and because I can. I set my standards high I guess, but that's what I expect from a flying experience.  I don't do cattle class airlines like Southwest either.

Re: Chase joined the bandwagon - giving free credit score
Especially considering the other 3 major banks giving a score use real FICO.

Citi gives you a FICO, but it's a bankcard enhanced score.

Unless Chase gives a TU 04 FICO in the future, it's not really a big deal.  I would expect that they would give an EX FICO 8 since that is what they give with the Slate card.

It's already possible to get 2 of 3 mortgage FICOs and all FICO 8 scores for free though:
