Re: AMA: United Polaris EWR-TLV Similar to Moishebatchy, I was not originally booked on UA EWR-TLV Polaris. Originally, I was booked on TK via IST in J but decided to switch to LX via ZRH to arrive in Israel 10 hours earlier. According to the UA website, LX had 4 seats available so I switched, hit purchase and so I thought I was set not knowing it was phantom availability. Ultimately, UA sent me an email an hour later saying my ticket is unconfirmed with LX. To the UA line I called. The rep spoke to the supervisor who had to call their boss which more than made up for the screw up. After 30 minutes on hold while the supervisors were working the system, the awards desk opened 4 seats on the UA flight with my whole family in Polaris. Yeehaw, less layovers & getting in much earlier than originally planned. Looking forward!

Re: Wyndham Status Match to Top-Tier Diamond
What I am saying is I don't spend a penny on upgrades but I do gamble. Many look at that as a cost.
I look at gambling as spending money to have fun. Some people pay $200 to ride a few laps in a Lamborghini, I'll pay $200 to sit for an hour at the blackjack table.

Re: Bora Bora Master Thread
How is le Meridien?
Currently only seeing availability for this one and only 4 nights ugh (what are odds space opens up later?)
Oddly, when I search st Regis shows availability but when I click on it it disappears (for multiple dates...)
ETA: what are best hotel point options? (Hilton is insane!)

I just got back from a stay at Le Meridien Bora Bora. Short version, the resort was great, truly paradise. The layout of the resort was great in my opinion, lagoon on one side, turn around and the ocean on the other. The OWBs are slightly tired and could use a refresh, but if you are there to admire and relax in paradise, then they are great. A great thing about Le Meridien is they will take you(by boat) to St Regis for no charge. DM me if you want more details.
