Re: New Coin Deal
Would be interesting to hear what this Dayan suggests that the buyer do next time in order to make the transaction hallachically binding. They can always wait until the buyer has the coin in hand, but then he's just buying it on the open marker. Maybe if the offer is for the coin, plus an small token item that most sellers already have in-hand (a quarter, napkin, writing utensil, etc...)
If they would give some money in advance I think that would bind with Mi Shepara.

Re: investments for children Wow. So many uninformed and outright wrong posts in this thread.

Advice #1, an anonymous online forum isn't the place to go for this.

From experience I can tell you that I put away money (at birth and monthly thereafter) in a top performing Mutual Fund when my oldest daughter was born, by the time she was 18 I needed to pull it out of there for a variety of reasons (qualifying for FAFSA being one of them) and I would have most definitely done better had I just put the money to grow at interest with no risk of loss.

I put money into Juvenile policies, but NOT for the purpose of saving money for the children (with the exception of the Allstate glitch from a few years ago).

She just keeps twisting the knife.

“He is impeached forever, no matter what he says or the headlines he wanted to carry around,” Mrs. Pelosi said in remarks to reporters on Thursday. She added that Mr. Trump was “never getting rid of that scar.”
Sounds like she cares more about the scar  than the country.

Re: Best Kosher Chinese food in the world!

Elizabeth Chinese... Gross stuff lol

New kosher special is great but the ambiance, if one can call it that, is probably what a physical manifestation of the Coronavirus would look like.

The Kosher Wok near Boston takes the cake wonton for the best Chinese, by a mile.

Re: Stocks
I would like to see your hands. How many cuts do you have trying to catch a fallen knife?

Too many scars to count here.

Re: When is this all expected to be over?
For you @CountValentine

It is said, “For this, let every pious man pray to You in the time of finding, that the overflowing waters may not reach him” (Psalms 32:6). With regard to the phrase, the time of finding, Rabbi Ḥanina said: The time of finding refers to the time one must find a wife, that one should pray to find a suitable woman to marry. As it is said: “He who finds [matza] a wife finds [matza] good and obtains favor from the Lord” (Proverbs 18:22). In Eretz Yisrael, the custom was that when a man married a woman, they would ask him: Matza or motzeh? In other words, they would ask the groom whether the appropriate passage for his wife is the above verse from Proverbs that begins with the word matza, as it is written: “He who finds a wife finds good and obtains favor from the Lord” or whether the more appropriate verse is the one beginning with the word motzeh, as it is written: “And I find [motzeh] the woman more bitter than death” (Ecclesiastes 7:26).

I'm assuming that CV is the pomin chadoshes at this here sheva brochos?
