When does the AMEX Blue Cash Preferred $6k on groceries reset? is that based on the calender year? Is there a way to know if you have already hit the max on it?

Coach. I would rather save some point on that for the next trip to if it would be possible. but I would non-stop or least duration than to be in a first or business class.

there is no direct to ogg from ny. you can fly delta coach for 25k rt or biz for 45k rt pp korean which transfers from chase. can also do the same delta flight for 30k rt in coach using flying blue which transfers from chase and amex

as far as hotel i stayed 3 days at the marriott wailea for 40k marriott per night which transfers from spg at 1:3 so thats only 13,333 spg per night. you can stay for 5 nights and get the 5th night free so that makes it only 10,666 spg per night.also stayed 5 nights at hyatt kaanpali for 20k hyatt per night. would recommend the marriott, more upscale area and recently renovated. they will get you with the resort fee though. save the 2 hyatt nights for the GH kauai

Could also do Andaz West Maui with Hyatt if there's availability.

Would you recommend Marriott wailea over the Sheraton maui?

Re: Maui Master Thread
thanks, I tried korean air and they said everything is already booked for June and July. I gonna try flying blue now. I was thinking about sheraton before but marriot walliea  looks nice too.

flying blue will show the same availability.

look at united and american options as well with different stopover options. I actually used jetblue points to fly on hawaiian at a pretty good value.

Re: Maui Master Thread Check for availability on Alaska airlines. Although if KE already said they don't have anything then that might not be an option anymore

Re: Maui Master Thread figure out where each airline has flights from and work that way. ie. united has flights from den/ord as well I believe and it could be worth taking a separate positioning flight the night before or something depending on your schedule.

Re: Maui Master Thread
Did they completely finish their renovations? Conflicting reports online. How nice is it?  So for only 4 days in Maui you would recommend Marriott over Hyatt Regency? Tried to get Andaz but no availability.

it was 99.5% done when i was there in late feb. the only thing i saw them work on was some minor landscaping and a couple of elevators. you would not even notice it if your not looking for it, didnt affect my stay at all. hotel is really nice, i love the adults only pool, the one by the hyatt is a joke. i can definitely see marriott bumping this up a couple of categories. its much nicer than the hyatt.

try to stay for 5 days as you get the fifth night free on award stays. i would def recommend the marriott over the hyatt, just be prepared to pay for the resort fee and parking.
