Up In The Air / Re: Airport Lounges
« on: April 12, 2019, 08:10:40 PM »
Accessed with PP, but he said the airport was transitioning to the new airport "that day". Not sure what that means. He said he went to 2 lounges, the HSBC, and one of the comfort lounges.

Thanks for checking. I guess that is for the old airport, as I don't see these lounges in PP app (or lounge buddy).

Thanks once again.

While I don't know the answer, I can tell you that my brother was not flying biz, and was able to access a lounge. I can try to find out which one.

Thanks. I will appreciate if you can find out which lounge he used, and was the access with PP or some other ways?

Loungebuddy. Also, my brother flew through there last week, and was able to access a lounge.

Thanks for the info. Really appreciate it. I hope that I will have time to check out IST lounge next week (Only have 90 or so minutes). On loungebuddy, I only see 2 lounges in international terminal, while one says,  "This lounge is accessible for business class passengers flying on Turkish Airline", and other is "This lounge is accessible for Star Alliance Gold members flying on Star Alliance carriers."

Since I only have PP membership, and no other status, can I access one of these 2 lounges?

Yes.

Thanks. May I know where you see it? PP app only has lounges for SAW code not for IST.

Anyone knows if the new Istanbul Airport has PP lounges? I have checked PP app, website, google, but no clear answer.

Thanks.

1. You can get Sixt Platinum status ( link on JJ 10 year post)

2. If you play around to get to Sixt via referral links you should find a better price. ( Can't remember what I used)

3. Don't remember the insurance limit on CSR. You might want to check that.

Also FYI you don't get liability insurance
Thanks. Googled for coupon codes and got 10% off..every little bit helps :)

Take clear pictures of the entire car, including wheels, when you pick it up.  And again when you return it.  So mysterious damages don't become your responsibility.

Thanks for the reply. Will do.

Do I need to buy car insurance when renting with CSR?

Any info on speed limits?

Hello experts:

I need to rent a car for one day (April 16th) from 7 am - 6 pm in Munich (near central station). I plan to drive the car on autobahn to go to Audi factory (about 80 Kms away). Planning to rent a luxury car, so I can go faster (if there is a no-speed zone).  Also, renting automatic transmission. Checked online, and seems Sixt is the best option. Are there any codes for Sixt?

Anyone knows if there are any speed limits between Munich to Audi factory? Or how do I know if there are no speed limits? What will the road-sign say?

Also, do I need to get any kind of insurance? I will be putting the charge on Sapphire Reserve.

Anything I need to know or be aware of?

Thanks.

Looking for 1 night in Paris (closer to Eiffel tower if possible) and 2 nights in London (closer to Buckingham Palace or London Eye) for this month. 2 adults and 1 kid (16-year old). Is it even going to be possible or better of booking 2-rooms per night?

Please PM me what you have, and your price. Thanks.

How does MVP work? First time flying Alaska, and don't know much about it. Just flying regular economy, can I still use this?

Correct.  And you should be able to see this reflected in your IHG.com account summary page.

But if it were issued in March 2017, it should have expired in March 2018 so check your dates.

Thanks for pointing to my mistake, it expires March 2019, was issued in late Feb 2018.

Thanks for the link, so if free night was issued in March 2017, it is still uncapped, right?
