Now that the Barclay's Arrival card is no longer accepting new applicants, are there any other cards that are good to use for random travel expenses such as rental cars, excursions, or AirBnb's?

Thanks

I will be in Maui next Sunday (2/17), is anyone there with a toaster oven that they are looking to hand off? I can split the cost of it with you.

Thanks

In general I agree. It happens to be that the meals in SLC are not through the Chabad.

I spoke with Sholom from All Kosher Maui, he is the former shaliach and not the current one. He is trying to do a test run on this concept and hired a local chef to make the food while he supervises, his goal is to make modern and gourmet food. He is willing to work with us to try to work out something within a price range that works for us. It sounds compelling and I will likely give it a try at least for shabbas and possibly for other meals as well.

Well, if $180 gets you 2 Shabbos meals for 2 people, that's not bad at all. But the weekday meals are too expensive for not being in a restaurant.

I agreee. I am interested in their shabbas food. Weekday food is too pricey. Granted Iím about to pay $40 for what looks like less food in Salt Lake City...

Recreation.gov says tickets for sunrise at Haleakala have not been released yet. I am a week out. Anyone seeing this or know what might be going on? How can I get tickets?

That may be due to the partial government shutdown. I just got a reservation last night for mid-February.

If I am planning to rent from Avis OGG using the Hawaii Bar Association number can I make a preferred account either before or after I get the reservation to skip the line? Will setting up the account cause me issues with using the bar association's discount?

Tried asking in the Avis thread and got no response. Figured I would ask here as well. Thanks.

Has anyone tried renting using the Chabad of Hawaii corporate code from Enterprise/National? When I tried earlier today I got a notice saying that account cannot be booked online.

so the answer is YES. they matched  to the 70k

Same here. I had to ask for a supervisor because the initial line is that they are not matching but the supervisor will do it.

Thanks for the advice!

I custom-ordered from Lieders a couple years ago. It was their first time doing it as far as I'm aware. I ordered mains only really in 1lb double-wrapped pans, which they froze for me over the weekend. The trick was getting them to let me pick up when the kitchen was open but the counter was officially closed.

La Gondola does. Western Kosher I believed does as well. You're asking about LA or Maui? for LA check the Wiki, and more importantly the Wiki map, and then I think you'll be able to have more specific questions.

La Gondola sells travel meals.

We will be heading to Maui from LA, are there any restaurants or grocery stores that sell travel meals similar to the Pomegranate meals? Thanks
