What I heard from an anti-vaad person who knows a lot about the inside politics was "Langert must go, no matter pro or anti the vaad - he has the intentions to make mincemeat out of this town, and show who is boss"
So why did they support him in the primary?

Does anyone know the inside story of the Vaad and
Langert? What happened between the primary and now? Theories?

I've never had a problem of Marcia Jon cleaners running tires or a talis. I have used them for both and was very happy. They are in the shopping center at the corner of New Prospect and County Line just into Jackson before the Jackson co-op
Do you for fact they are good, or you just never heard of a problem? (Running tires?)
I have an expensive tie and many cleaners are unable to clean them without ruining them in some way. In addition, I've used marcia jon and was not impressed.
Does anyone else have experience there?

If it is an original painting I would say to go for an auction. HUVY paintings go for a lot. However, you must check it out it, because she sells high quality copies on canvas and paints a bit over it. Those retail in the $1000 range.

Are there any geographic or familial differences btw who follows who?
Most who were "kind of chassidim" of R' Naftulche even when R' Shlomo was alive- went with his children (Ungar). Also many who learnt in the mesivta and felt connected to Rubin who had a shteller there went to Ungar. However, Bobover chassidim as a whole are passive people, and many, especially the elders felt that they shouldn't pick themselves up from a beis medrash the've been davening in for years. In addition, R' Naftulche wasn't well even when R' Shlomo was living and after R'S died many did not feel any connection with R'N so when R'N died they did not feel the rabbiste should go to his daughters' husband.
As a side note, for a reason I do not know, most of the Halberstam family (aside R'BT) sides along R'MD.

« on: August 25, 2014, 05:53:00 PM »
I have been using Pauls tailor shop (rt. 88 & rt. 70) for years. Anyone who used him knows he's an expert. However, word has it that he retired. Does anyone know of a expert tailor, one who understands tailoring well and can do advanced tailoring (not just cuffs and hems), in Lakewood or in surrounding areas?

The question was is there kosher food near the andaz. The answer was no.
Well then that is my answer regarding supermarkets. (I just noticed that their website is temporarily down. It's a good thing I have already printed it.)

NO and NO
I'm not so sure about that. I'm heading to CR next week here's the list I found from the orthodox community. http://centroisraelita.com/en/kosher-2/products.html many products and eateries are listed there.
