General Discussion / Re: Haters, Threats, And Trolls

Tell me who this guy is, I'll go give him a piece of my mind, no one messes with my kids.

What was it like to be the mom of the ElAl deal guy?
Very nice! Having people from all around tell us that they or their elderly parents got to live their dream of seeing Eretz Yisrael and some meeting grandchildren for the first time felt wonderful! My neice's entire Sem class's parents got to visit them.

Were quotation marks around "friends" really necessary? I almost felt good. The "Dan" one did give me a good laugh.
You are absolutely right quotation marks were not necessary for most of you!  I will reserve those for the few haters. Moms do not tolerate criticism of their children very well.

Good morning JJ and "Dan" and all of your "friends"!

Sorry he's saving 10,001 for someone special.
What a great way to start the morning learning that your third son thinks you are someone special!

:) if I remember correctly I think we actually tied(at least that is what the teacher said) . Will have to see if jj remembers.
Mr. Racy claimed it was a tie and the presidential duties were split!

Srugim is the best. I even got my husband to watch with me and he enjoyed it.

Dan's Grandpa is the one taught him the love of sports and gave him the love of travel and eating out genes.

My favorite DansDeals deal of course
And I'm sure Dan will agree :)

Any cute childhood stories you can share? Something that'll make him blush, and us say awwwww?
He has changed a lot. When he was 3 and shopping for shoes on Ave J he really wanted a colorful shoe horn.  When we asked how much it was the man said that he could have it.  He no longer wanted it if it was free. However by the time he was 5 he noticed gas station prices and complained if I went to a expensive one.  When I went to the grocery store and got to the cashier he would tell me the price of the whole cart and amaze the salesperson.

"Dan" did not write my posts,  I even needed one of my younger sons to help me quote ( he left) so I can respond but not quote those who don't believe I wrote it.  I even have a hard time calling him "dan".

Lol, I had nothing to do with the post.  Though I'll have to find out which of my brothers alerted my mother to it...

Didn't say they were elderly. I just implied they weren't 25 (which they're not).

Heck, even at 25, 12 different segments, over 25,000 miles, four destinations, in less than two weeks, would be tiring. Fun probably, but tiring.

But, hey, if they're up for it...

Who do you think taught Dan to love traveling? OK he added in the first class luxury part but we have always traveled. We have taken our kids all over the USA including Hawaii, Canada, Bahamas, Costa Rica , Puerto Rico...

My husband  has a hard time sitting still and no one can keep up with his hiking.  Dan has called me many times saying Abba is crazy we can't hike up that mountain.  Killer Bees, Rattlesnakes, and  getting a H2 stuck in a remote area and being rescued by plane are only a few of the adventures we have been through.

Last time we did Europe in a week staying mostly on overnight train cars. We once did the road to Hana in a convertible in 1 1/2 hours.  This was not our first choice of itins but by the time the wedding date was set this was the best that we could pull together. I will get home and sleep for days, but my husband will be at work the next morning.

Thanks for all your help, this is our first vacation as a couple in over a decade!
