The hard part about going to Bermuda is that there are no chain hotels, so can't use points to stay there and nice hotels are on the expensive side.

You think if Chase were to shut down a Star-bird account then they may blacklist you from other current and future CC?

Credit Cards / Starbucks Prepaid VISA Card

Starbucks recently announced that they will be offering a Prepaid VISA Card through JPMorgan Chase by the end of 2016...
Star-bird anybody???  :D
Perhaps this will be the new bluebird/serve/redcard?
Some very early talk about benefits of the card: "The Starbucks Rewards Prepaid Card from Chase won’t charge monthly service fees or fees for loading money on to the card, which are typically associated with prepaid cards."

Anybody else getting excited? Or is it too early to tell?

My wife's card was shut down in January, but I just closed the account myself today. I reapplied for her for a different serve card, within 5 minutes of closing the original card, under her maiden name and different address, email/phone, but same SS number, and was APPROVED!  ;D ;D ;D
My card was shut down during the second wave. Closed it today and reapplied for a different card without success.

Yup - I got the following email from British airways:

We’re going to be making a change to the Executive Club pricing structure for shorter reward flights originating or terminating within the United States of America. From 2 February 2016, reward flights will start from 7,500 Avios, instead of 4,500 Avios, plus taxes, fees and carrier charges (“TFCs”) from $5.60 USD.

Only those reward flights that currently cost 4,500 Avios for a one way flight in Economy, 9,000 Avios for Business Class and 18,000 Avios for First Class plus TFCs will increase; to 7,500 Avios, 15,000 Avios and 30,000 Avios plus TFCs respectively. All other Avios reward flight pricing will remain the same as it is today.
