Is Ayahuasca, the same thing being discussed here?
I was just speaking to someone who asked R Dovid Fienstien if it's Avoda Zara, which he said he's not familiar with it. However R Heinman was familiar with it and told him it's not..
The reasoning iiuc is that a root of a plant can't become Assur and also those who worship it are worshipping the spirit/snake behind it not the actual plant

General Discussion / Re: jersey care
« on: January 19, 2020, 10:16:07 AM »

Is Jersey cares income limit per month or annual? If I make more than the monthly limit one month but less the next month does that disqualify me?

I've heard many times that it's annualized, but if one month you realize that it's bringing you over then you need to report it..

I spoke to a friend who unfortunately had to deal with a lawyer for this and he was told that even if they let you keep it at the jersey care office that doesn’t legally allow you to keep it. Jersey care was not made for self employed where your income varies for month and has a lot of grey area where if you end up in front of a judge you may be liable even if they told you that you can stay on. I left jersey care for this reason even though technically I was eligible.

Even if you have in writing that it's ok?

If you "qualify" for Jersey Care, you can't even get from the market place, thats really crazy...

Is people ending up in front of a judge common place, and it just doesn't get splashed all over the place? When the major story happened not too long ago, iiuc they basically said don't live a lavish life etc and claim very little income, otherwise you should be ok, we're not coming to find every little discrepancy...

Tech Talk / Re: Wifi Extender for Optimum Wifi?

Either this

I got the https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MR90E3A  and it works!

Or the more complicated version, which is similar to what you were trying to do

No.
You need to install DD-WRT which can only be installed on a regular router. Once you install DD-WRT follow these instructions: https://www.overclockers.com/forums/showthread.php/747884-How-to-use-an-Optimum-WiFi-hot-spot-with-multiple-computers

So only an extender that can access the login page?
Do you know of one that works?
Your connecting the extender to the optimum network,
When connected the login page will open on your device.

Most tp-link extenders will work

Trying to use a linksys extender to extend optimum wifi. I added the extenders mac address to an optimum account. It's not connecting to optimum when setting it up. There is an option to manually enter a static ip. Any ideas?
I don't believe anyone got it to work this way.

The last office Depot mistake via a marketplace was the Puff tissues a few weeks ago via Amazon, all the orders got canceled and not charged but most people got one box and some the full amount...

Rise Up is back up. Unclear exactly what happened, but the media has its fair share of conjecture.

As does ROUC have their version of events...

Weeeeeee're Baaaaaaack!  Please read this post in its entirety and share it, it's REALLY important.

At 2:30am we began receiving notifications that our Facebook page was under a coordinated attack, not amateurish at all.  At 3:00am we made the decision to unpublish the page thereby rendering the attack harmless and since then we have taken a defensive posture, we've done our best to prepare for more and, well, here we are.  In a war (figuratively speaking), and make no mistake about it that is exactly what we are in, there are battles that you will win and battles that you must fall back, regroup and then go back on the offensive.  We have always been about the big picture.

Yes it is 4:15pm and full disclosure, we were ready to go by 10:00am but we were enjoying the opposition response to our page being “taken down” SO much that we had to just let them continue slobbering all over one another.  For those who have not seen any of it, describing the haters reaction as euphoric is an understatement.  The WhatsApp chat groups lit up like a Christmas tree, the fan pages have been carrying on all day about how proud that they are of themselves and a collective sigh of relief could be heard coming from the Lakewood Va'ad.  Did we choose 4:15pm intentionally?  YOU BET, Shabbos begins in about 10 minutes and then the haters in the orthodox community (there really aren't that many) can all spend the next 27 hours licking their wounds.

No doubt seeing this post is going to be devastating for some of you so if you are really struggling, please call 1-800-273-8255, the National Suicide Prevention Hotline.

To the hundreds of you that emailed your support and to the many of you that have been all over Facebook expressing your dismay, we love you.  To those of you who have now shown your true colors and jumped on the hater bandwagon, right after we are done laughing at you, you may rest assured that we will find your little piece in the puzzle that is the criminal enterprise that we now pursue and you too will be exposed.

You may have received an invitation to join the FAKE RUOC page.  Don't fall for it.  Unless the page has 18,000 followers, it's FAKE, that's how you can tell the difference.  Oh, and we tell the truth, they don't.

Do please take a few minutes to familiarize yourself with our website, www.riseupoceancounty.com.  Also follow us on Instagram here: https://www.instagram.com/riseupoc/ or RiseUpOceanCounty and Twitter here:  https://twitter.com/riseupoc  or @riseupoc.  We will be far more active on those three platforms in the coming days.

Again thank you for your continued support, you all rock!  You can rest assured that we will continue  our investigative efforts and always share with you the results.  Big stuff coming in the next few weeks...

Deals/Deal Requests / Re: New Coin Deal
« on: November 18, 2019, 11:55:16 PM »
A point of view I didn't consider from a DOC poster.

Personally I think this is hilarious. These guys who are seasoned professionals, enlisted tons of people to help them bypass the rules that are designed to allow real collectors and individuals a chance to get 1 copy of this rare item.
They KNEW what the price was going to be, especially since they were already selling for 500+ well before they went live. They still offered people 200, when tons of other dealers (reputable ones) were offering 4-500 (and those guys were planning on reselling them also). The try to trade in this notion of, well won’t scam you so what we offer is great! Well, plenty of other people won’t scam, but offered people double or more for their item, instead of trying to seize even more of the profit.
The FACT is that if dealers are paying 500, they are selling it for even more, but PFS is upset because some people are choosing to not give it to them for 200 so that they can’t make an extra 300 per item that they shouldn’t have been allowed to get anyway because of the Mint rules?
People should honor their agreements for sure. However, enlisting a ton of people who know nothing about this market or collectibles in order to exploit their ignorance to make a colossal profit compared to competitors is not right either. PFS could easily have agreed to pay pay people a little more given the market, but instead they talk about “well once when a cheap item went down a few bucks, we ate the “loss!” Hardly the same as “we used you people to get around the rules to get 1000s of an item that a ton of actual individuals want, but couldn’t get because we cheated to get them en masse, and we are mad that we couldn’t sell them to those same people for a fortune because some people wanted to make a larger share of the profit instead of letting us pay them 100 profit and keep 400+.”
Sorry but I can’t really cry for them. When you are already engaged in a process designed to fundamentally cheat the system to enrich yourself, you give up the moral right to cry when some people get wise and cut you out.
A diff point of view.. the BGs possibly/probably already locked in prices with the dealer they are selling to and can't afford to match the commission of newer POs that other groups are trying to fill... How about the dealer that loses out  when the BGs can't fill their POs when the individual buyers back out..

I think sprint will stop allowing 3g phones.
I was trying to activate a 3g phone on tello and they rejected it. Saying that it’s a 3g phone and sprint does not allow it anymore on their network
Iirc a few months ago they sent me an email asking the lines that my current 3g phone on tello I have will stay fine but I can't do a new activation ... So make sure I don't deactivate the current one...
