Sorry as I know this was mentioned many times but I went back a bunch of pages and couldnt find the answer, and I am not reading all 335 pages of this thread. My wife has the reserve card, I used to have a copy of hers but it expired. Whats the best way to go about getting a second card so I can use it? If i report it lost, wont they switch the numbers and exp date?

Anyone know if I have an RPU that expires Dec 31st but I have a flight on jan10th, if my RPU gets filled before dec 31st will i still keep my upgrade?

Agree with this as they are mainly compensating for lack of meals and you admitted yourself that this passenger's behavior was not their fault and beyond their control. I do agree that the behavior was bizarre and disgusting and would have totally rankled me, but other than offering to have security called for him, there wasn't much else they could have done.

Agree and as i mentioned I dont blame united, they handled it quite well..

Hi Everyone..pls tell me what you think of this. My family flew from EWR-FRA-TLV  on UNITED (ewr-fra) . All 4 of us flew Polaris using GPU's.  1)After confirming 3 times in advance that we were down for Kosher food, turns out they didnt have our meals. Staff told us this happens a lot and if you order "kosher"  over 72 hours before the flight (We ordered thhis 6 months ago and checked about a week before the flight), many times it doesnt get added..not sure if true or not. but all i know is we didnt get food.
2) Not uniteds fault, but a passenger came to my daughters pod while she was sleeping and started shaking her pod and seat, while making very weird noises.This startled and scared her and for the remaining 5 hours of the flight she was on my wifes lap crying off and on. They asked us if we wanted to call security upon landing but we decided not to since he didnt harm her. A few min later the attendant came over and told us that they think this passenger urinated in the aisle right by my daughters seat, so they put down some powder to absorb it. The pilot was notified and they think he might have mixed ambien with Alcohol or he was on drugs or drunk.

I emailed this to united about not having kosher food and told them about this disturbance which I mentioned that I am not blaming United in any way for this as this was a passenger who created this and wasnt the airliens fault, but I asked if we could get our return home flight upgraded to polaris since we couldnt enjoy the benefits of Polaris.... United wrote me back pretty quickly apologizing for the food and saying that the staff is trained for situations like that..They cant upgrade us but they can give us $250 each (total $1000)in united credit.  I thought this was fair but some of my friends think it should be much greater.  What are your opinions? (United Platinum we are)

Corporate rule. They also reserve the right not to honor elite benefits, but that's more case-by-case.

I've had this issue in past... It's the same with car rentals.

It's frustrating and it's why I mostly stick to transfer of chase ur to Hyatt.

It's also why many sell their miles. The logic is better to sell, get money and spend.

Can I argue w the front desk or its a corporate rule?

Has anyone else had this issue.  I booked a stay at a Marriott and did it through the chase portal using my chase sapphire reserve points but marriott is telling me bc it was booked through a thirs party, they stay doesnt qualify for points or stays.  How is this possible. It should be considered a paid room. When i use sapphire reserve points to book an airline ticket, I get the full miles for the flights, its not considered a rewards ticket...Why would the hotel not act like that as well?

I made a $500+ purchase back in december of 2017. The item needs repair and thought id be covered w Amex since its within 1 year past original warranty, but i just found that I didnt use my AMEX and instead i used the chase Sapphire Reserve card.. No idea why or what  I was thinking back then, but hopefully I had good reason. Does anyone know if the chase sapphire reserve card offer the extended 1 year warranty just like amex does?

it would help for the utilization part of score but would not help for number of account part of score p.s if it's not too late see if you can product change it to a no annual fee card

so is it worth to move the credit line over or we are talking about  very minimal help.?

I dont recall ever canceling a credit card before but about 5 minutes ago i canceled a chase Southwest card..i just never use it, $69 fee, didnt need it... The rep. asked me if I want to transfer the credit line onto another chase that I have..I told her no (but it might not be too late to call back and get it moved over)..I understand canceling cards can hurt credit rating..would transfering the credit line save the credit rating from being hit or it doesnt really matter?  advice pls..I must act quick if i want to transfer it

Yes it does i see some direct flights as Mile sAAver  but on british its only displaying 1 flight which is a stop over  june 11 mia-lga
