Tech Talk / Re: google voice help
« on: Yesterday at 03:27:14 PM »
Dear Google Voice user,

This email is to inform you that on or after August 1, 2021 we will remove support for the Google Voice feature that lets you automatically forward messages you receive to your linked carrier number. You will still be able to access your messages on the Google Voice apps.

What do I need to know?

According to our records, you have currently enabled forwarding of your Google Voice SMS messages to one or more linked numbers. In light of spam causing potential issues with SMS forwarding, we are discontinuing the feature and messages will no longer be forwarded to your carrier number.

Recommended actions:

First, follow these steps to turn off the setting to forward your text messages. After that, you may access your messages on the Google Voice Android or iOS apps or on voice.google.com.Finally, you may also enable forwarding messages to your email in the Google Voice settings.

We appreciate your attention to this matter.

Thank you,The Google Voice Team

Got this email today. What's the best option if I use Google voice as my primary number?

Centurion lounge PHL. They won't allow me to eat my food I brought. I told them I'm strictly kosher so I can't eat any of the food offered, so the guy at the front said ok, but then when I sat down to eat two people came and told me I can't and there's no exceptions even though I'm strictly kosher.

What a waste of a CC perk for a jew like myself

Once had such a story in LAX. After explaining that we can only eat kosher, they gave us a private room in the lounge so no one else should bother us

Having temps would allow you pull the temps away from the window when going through. Vs real plates mounted onto your car.

Unless you got some fake temps. Then you'll be fine without the need to do anything.

Paying for a toll I'm totally in for, as I'm using the highways and bridges.
While paying for the speed and red light camera's is sickening.( Yes part of living in NY).
my temps were screwed onto the car. Didn't have a problem paying the toll. Was just curious if it'll work since someone mentioned to me that you can get thru without paying.

11
And it does work for red lights and speed?

I would assume because they try to bill at the moment, and of nothing turns up they dismiss the ticket?

Never tried it with speeding/red light camera but I did try it by toll (took off my ezpass) and sure enough I got a bill in the mail a few days later. IIRC one of the reasons for having the temporary plates was for toll purposes

2) if you have a new car with a temporary plate, don't put the regular license plate on unless you are stopped (moving violation). Otherwise the tickets shouldn't arrive to you.

Doesn't work for toll

I'm new at this  :) so apologize if questions were asked before.
If traveling with 3 month year old on a flight and have a stroller with a car seat ( car seat is strapped into stroller) I will be able to gate check stroller and car seat for free?
I just did it this past Thursday on United & had no issue

Wow, I wonder what was different. I had them twice and they blew my mind. Same for others I heard from.
DW didn't like some spice in it (was on the spicy side) and I was ok with it but nothing to write home about

I just went with my wife to Street Kitchen in Bal Harbour and it was quite impressive. the burgers are super juicy made with three types of ground beef, and the appetizers were delicious! We got the Bao Buns, Chummuus w meat (forgot the name it came with pita and I think the meat was lamb) we also got the Chicken and Waffles which was great as well, but there is a specific seasoning used in it that some may not like... We loved it and would definitely return!! Next to get is definitely the Rib eye for 2, was highly recommended!

Was there tonight and had the Bao Buns, which was ok, surprise steak which was amazing & the triple layer cake for dessert which was eh
