On other Amex you can make AU but not different addresses for each one, to the best of my knowledge.  Platinum is famous for allowing different addresses.  Wondering if other cards, outside of Amex, allow.  Platinum too expensive.

if you get a renovated room, it's not terrible. But don't expect anything fancy. It's a basic hotel. IMO most ppl prefer FLL over MIA, even with the extra distance.

Thanks.  For flights or for hotel as well?  I could stay in Ft. Lauderdale, I just figured with all the restaurants and minyanim in Miami it would make more sense to stay there.

Yup. Last week..

Room was always dirty. There was some type of leak. Toilet didn't work well and they spent over 2 hours trying to fix it and they never did.

Was concerned as well, needed to be in the Miami area so just booked there because no choice but Trip Advisor has countless negative reviews.  I spoke to SPG today and the representative told me the hotel was built in the 50's and they did a small refurb a couple of years ago.

If award flights are better into Ft. Lauderdale, does anyone know if it's a major schlep to get from there to Miami?

Need to rent a car from LGA December 22 evening, and returning Dec 27 morning.  After fees etc. all the sites are giving me high prices, I do realize it's a holiday weekend, but any ideas!  Thanks
Also, if I use my AMEX card to rent, what insurance do I decline and which do I still need.

B"H I just cleared my F/R.  I didn't have any tax returns to send them so I simply told them that and they requested that I send in my last 3 bank statements and last two pay stubs (I started working in March).  They were nice, even though I kept calling back.  Could be it helps to keep calling because they see you are interested in doing what they want.

I have had Amex Starwoods for a couple of years and have paid every bill in full.  This morning I got a call from them and my card is suspended and under F/R.  They want my tax returns from last year.  Problem is I don't have any-I was living in Israel and had nothing to claim and when I moved back to America I was living by my parents.  Any suggestions?!
