So wouldn't I want c in case it's a c socket? F won't fit in c?

From: https://travel.stackexchange.com/questions/53756/power-adapter-for-europe-type-c-or-type-e-f

"Using a type C adapter would work on any case, as it has the same separation (19mm between the center of each pin) but thinner pins (4m vs 4.8mm). The only con is that it would fit a bit looser and will be easier to unplug it accidentally."

my trip didn't end here, I'm heading to St Moritz till Monday so losing a day :(
But I'm glad I'll get to try more of the food here Iol

Only till Monday in St. Moritz, that's way too short. Hope you can extend. The best place for food was the Open Flame that unfortunately closed down. And note, St. Moritz is quite pricey. Hair cut there 50 CHF average for men.

I never went on any tours, I don't know much what more to see in Joburg other than beggars by every robot. Go to Soweto, and check out the Hector Pieterson Museum there.

Well looks like I'll have more than enough time to do it tomorrow.
Flight left about 20min ago with only J&F pax
Entire economy is being sent to hotel and hopefully rebooked on some flight tomorrow (the direct is already sold out )
I booked my self on LH tomorrow evening just in case they don't manage to get us seats. Biz has been sold out for over 3 weeks now.

Enjoy the extra day. Check out http://www.frangelicas.com
And http://mooznew.co.za/menu/ - I love the creamy nachos there.

thanks for the awesome suggestion, really enjoyed.
Had my own tour guide, really nice guy ended up giving me close to 2 hours! Went to Moshies got some sushi and sandwiches +biltong
And just made it to the airport.
And now flight is delayed :-\

I am glad you enjoyed. Soweto would have required much more time to fully appreciate it. Lots of Jews still living in Hillbrow area, walked in on Shabbos recently, although I am walking distance.

Hey guys:))
Firstly, this place is awesome (DDF)- just had to say that

Okay, so I'm in Europe with some friends and we're trying to find kosher lists in English/ kosher food advice for the places we're visiting including:
Germany
Prague
Vienna
Croatia
Italy

THANKS!

Here are some resources:

Germany: http://kaj-berlin.de/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/Kahal_Adass_Jisroel_Koscherliste_2016.pdf

Austria: https://www.misrachi.at/images/pdf/kosherguide/Kosher%20Guide.pdf

Croatia: http://www.bet-israel.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/Kosher_Lista_2017.pdf

Italy: http://www.kosheritalianguide.it/

Switzerland: http://irgz.ch/koscherliste/index.html

Note: I can't vouch for the accuracy of the lists. I just know that the Swiss one is constantly being updated, and there are always
periodic notifications of items being withdrawn.

Have a 6hr layover in JNB this afternoon 1-7pm
Do I have enough time for Soweto tour? I plan on using Uber for transportation and would like to pick up food as well.

I would budget about 50 minutes to an hour to get to Soweto, so I think it would be tight. To where the kosher shops are, should
be only 20 minutes by car. You don't have to go all the way to Soweto, you could get a tour of Hillbrow and Alexandra instead.

All these can be purchased in the airport?

Yes, You buy the sim card (SIM-karte) and the credit (guthaben). Then you would need to subscribe to a package,
i.e. you dial *139*91490# to buy the 1GB data. (https://www.lycamobile.ch/en/great-savings-on-data-bundles)

Else, you will be charged their standard rate of 10Rp/MB...

Right, Lycamobile as an MVNO in Switzerland has good coverage and is cheap.

Yes, it's using the Swisscom Network, they have the cheapest data, ie. but tethering (hotspot is blocked)
1GB CHF 5.90
2GB CHF 9.90
5GB CHF 13.90
10 GB CHF 21.90, etc.

Shark diving was incredible
Also worth adding to wiki the CBC brewery
Great craft beer, 7 tasters for 45rand.

Any place I can get a decent haircut now? (Sunday evening)

Sunday is a day off, but for a very decent Italian barbershop, and my favorite: Tony and Karmen  79 Corlett Dr, Birnam, near Melrose Arch.

They are moving to a new place on Sept 1st. http://tonyandkarmen.co.za/

For anyone whose spent shabbos in Calgary: any points hotels in walking distance from the shul (45min)? Does the shul take in shabbos early in August? Thanks!

Yes, they take Shabbos early, Mincha was about two hours before sunset. I stayed in a hotel 45 minutes away. The walk wasn't so pedestrian friendly, extremely wide roads - and walking signals require a push button.

The hotel in Calgary confirmed with me that I would be able to use the stairs. Came back Friday night, and the access to the stairs was locked. Had to argue for a long time with the hotel staff, until they finally allowed me to use the stairs. Plus having to use electric tape on the door, so I can enter without a card.  Next time, I would rather stay in an airbnb.

I went with my two month old up to highest mountains in Arosa and Davos and all was fine...

The difference is that those in Arosa and Davos are usually staying there on holiday, so they acclimatize to the higher altitude.
The ones going to ie Titlis are doing day trips and are coming straight from sea level. It's a big difference.
