COVID-19 Discussion Board / Re: Unemployment Help
« on: September 17, 2020, 08:32:00 PM »
NJ data point:

Finally got through to someone at the unemployment line. Received an automated call back instead if waiting on hold.
Spoke to the phone rep gave all my personal info and she put my retroactive unemployed date in the system. She said I will get an email from Department of Labor with confirmation and further instructions.
This was three days ago. Still no email from anyone.

When I originally filed for unemployment I was under the impression that I needed 20 weeks of work in order to qualify even for PUA. So I originally wrote in my application that my final day of work was April 26th which would be 20 weeks from when I started working. In actuality my workload had been significantly reduced by the end of March.

Now if I understand correctly there is no 20 week requirement for PUA and the $231 I received as my weekly benefit rate is just the minimum rate for PUA.

My question is, is there a way for me to now go back and get benefits for those weeks between when actually stopped working(end of March) and the date I put on my application(April 26th)?

I have already been receiving benefits weekly since April 26th.

Or $20 down.

Do you know anyone that can get a
Crv for $229?
Or odyssey for $305
With 36k miles?

They look like good deals to me, but Iím not that familiar, thatís why I am asking.
They aren't 36k miles they're 30k.
Also the down payment should not be confused with other fees due at inception. Any price you see after the down payment is plus tax and plus around 1395 in other fees.

They're not terrible deals. Call around the jewish companies and see if someone can match or beat them.

You probably don't understand what Chapter 11 is.
If you do understand Chapter 11 and still doubt about their operation in a month or two, then you should rent some nice car and keep it until they cease operation. It's going to be a long time before someone will claim back the car.
Its definitely within the realm of possibility that they will cease operations for some time during their (hopeful) restructuring.
As it stands they're selling off thousands of their vehicles as well as shuffling them to other brands. They're trying to generate as much cash as they can upfront. I wouldn't bet on it.

As far as their vehicles go, I'd doubt anyone presiding over their restructure would approve of any plan in which their primary assets would be unaccounted for.

Didn't Hertz file for bankruptcy? Where's the guarantee that they will be operational in a month or two?

Itís a separate deposit that takes around a week.
I shouldn't have to worry about it, correct? If I was eligible for weekly benefits I should automatically also get the $600

I got approved for unemployment benefits. I was able to certify retroactively for the past x amount of weeks since I filed for unemployment.
Im still working a few hours a week so I got the difference between my worked hours and weekly benefit rate deposited into my account.
I have not received the additional $600 a week for some reason.
Does anyone know why this is?
Is it a separate deposit that could take longer?

I got 2 cars from honker (3 years ago) and had a very good experience as well.

Donít know if as RODO their business model/service is now different (as someone hinted to upthread)
They were losing it as they went on, even under honker.
I actually leased from honker and experienced some difficulties along the way. I did end up getting a solid deal. I think I wrote about it here a while back.

So let's do it in a time map:

Wednesday 10:00 at night I placed my order, I was prompt to upload a picture of my ID card, picture of existing lease, and social security number.

Thursday 9:00 in the morning the inventory was confirmed with the dealership through Rodo that the car is available before they do the credit check.

A hour or so later I got a notification that I'm approved for the lease and the car is now reserved for me!

By 12 o'clock the car was technically ready for pickup - if not for Corona.

So the car was ready for pickup in about 14 hours from placing my order until the car was ready for me!!

I'm going to pick up the car myself instead of the free delivery option they offer because they told me that due to Corona the dealership can't promise me on a date for delivery, so Rodo is providing me a Lyft car ride to the dealership that's a 52 mile trip!

So my answer is yes I would very likely use them again, and it was a very good experience
That deal is decent, not great. A friend just got 10k a year for $335 a month 0 due at signing.
As far as Rodo is concerned, your experience is not typical. Glad to hear it worked out for you, but for the majority of people I heard from that dealt with rodo had bad experiences. Lots of bait and switch and other garbage. Pretty much the same reason why you wouldn't want to go to a dealership yourself.
If you're looking for no hassle no games stick to the regular leasing companies. That said, if you do research and dont mind spending time on it -it doesn't hurt to try with Rodo too. See if you find what you want and see if you can actually get it.
