You must be a math expert yourself if you came up with the average Jewish family size of 9 in Brooklyn.
Let's not get stuck up with the exact numbers. It might be 7or it might be 10. But you get the idea.

Hi, hoping to find some math expert on DDF.
Yes I know we saw a high number of positive test in Brooklyn slot of them from jewish people.
But, since this virus is very contagious, and especially with kids which don't have any symptoms but can still carry it, the chances that a family with many kids, should catch the virus is multiplied significantly.
So taking into consideration that  the  average American family size is 3.14 and the average (Jewish) Brooklyn family size is 9, the chances that it should be caught is multiplied drastically.
Looking for a math expert to break down the numbers.
I would assume it should be something like this
2 to the 3.14 power =8.81
While 2 to the 9th Power =512
Which means that a typical large family should have 58x more chance to catch it.

Don't you realise that they figured out a great way to flatten the curve.
Less tests means less new cases.
The only problem with this is that the death percentage is very skewed.

Looking for transportation options to Metlife. My only priority is to be able to exit the parking lot after the siyum in the shortest time possible. Thought Uber, but a lot of discouraging stuff written online about that. Thought train, but I don't know if the special stadium service will be running for the siyum, and a lot written about packed platform.

Last time there was special service.  The siyum ran late a and they kept announcing that the last train will leave at 11:00

They make you purchase a round trip ticket on the way going so that there shouldn't be a mad rush to purchase tickets when everyone wants to leave the same time.

there should be shuls that bought chunks and have still to sell, shouldn't need to pay a premium on them. Ask around.

Then how come we didn't hear yet from any shul stating that? It's not like they are trying to keep it a secret from their members.

no. Only value is the free night
i don't see the reason to keep my Amex Business SPG (now Marriott) open with a $125 annual fee. way too much of a hassle to get real worth out of the annual free night at a cat 5. am i missing some other good value?
Any no AF card it can be downgraded to?

Be careful taking them to Israel if they are above 10k. Probably considered as cash

And this is exactly why I've learned to wait for live results before making breathless posts like all of the bloggers have.

What so absurd about this whole thing is, that Citi is seeing these posts all over. How hard would it be for them to clarify this so nobody gets any wrong expectations.

He used to be reliable. Had good references
References mean a big fat 0.
Usually references would mean alot, however, just like anything else in life this can be gamed. Play nicely for a year to build up a nice good reputation and then one day....
However that's not usually how the world turns.

Up In The Air / Cancel Award Ticket
« on: September 12, 2019, 01:14:46 PM »
I searched the forum and couldn't find the right place in any existing topics to post this.
Is there a wiki or a topic for cancellation policy and fees on reward bookings based on FF program?
I am looking to book a ticket NYC-TLV for Purim time. Since my plans are very speculative (only 20% chance) I would only want to book an award ticket with an FFN that would cost minimal $ or miles to cancel, even if the amount of miles needed to make this reservation is more than with another program.
Thanks
