COVID-19 / Wuhan Novel Coronavirus Discussion / Re: Unemployment Help
« on: July 06, 2020, 09:21:43 PM »
NJ has very clear instructions here:
https://myunemployment.nj.gov/labor/myunemployment/assets/pdfs/UI_process_selfemployed.pdf

If you did anything wrong it might take a bit longer to process.
This is for NY. Hopefully won't be an issue.

It's DDF. You're anonymous anyways...

#-asking for a friend.
Not sure why I am responding but
1. I was asking for two different people
2. Couldn't it have been that I applied for them or they applied 🤔

Tutored for a $50 fee once in January. Is this person eligible for PUA?
Worked on a 1099 more than 18 months ago but actively seeking a job. Is this person eligible?
Applied. Entered social as EIN and $50 as amount earned. Is this the correct way?

Those who watch Fox might also like Ripley's Believe It or Not.  :)
Was just that your response reminded me of how AOC responded to Ben

Any "politics" master thread?

You may find this thread interesting, although there is no retainer agreement for helping a fellow DDF member :)

I was under the assumption that you can product change as often as you want. I guess you always have to think about the risk of Chase AA.
See this comment and Danís response.

I was speaking to a Chase representative in regards to downgrading my Marriott CC. She mentioned that I can upgrade in the future if I decide to switch back but I should keep in mind that you are limited to two product changes per year.

My options are Chase Sapphire Reserve or Chase Ink Business Preferred and it's a gift to someone who I doubt will reach out for the protection so that part doesn't carry as much weight.
Freedom unlimited or Ink unlimited would be nice options for non bonus category purchases.
If you really want to take full advantage of each card it could get confusing.. I'm personally putting all non bonus category purchases on Discover Miles as the first year is 3% back.

Is it frowned upon to upgrade and take advantage of the $300 credit and the 1.5% redemption and then downgrade not long after??
I haven't heard of that being an A/A trigger, but anything is possible.
Quote from DDMS article: "But the painful lessons here are obvious. Donít try to scam the system or youíll face jail time. And donít hand over your credit information or credit cards to anyone else for any price."
Would the above be considered scamming the system? Or are we just talking about a calculated risk. The reason I keep bringing it up is because I'm not sure how much sense it makes to pay the annual fee in exchange for the recent enhanced benefits..
Another example would be when people took advantage of the $1,500 credit limit_No annual fee loop hole..

Seems like Chase is very easy to get the AF waived just got 2 cards waived and it took 60 sec... amex a bit harder
Just tried via SM for both me and DW. Both got similar response. See below.

Thank you for contacting Chase regarding your account. It  will be my pleasure to take a look at your account.  Your credit card comes with an annual fee of $95. This fee ensures you receive all the benefits that come with your  card and is non-refundable as long as your account is  open. Please see your Cardmember Agreement for details.  We value your business and want to make sure you have the  card that best fits your needs. We offer a variety of  cards that do not come with an annual fee. If you'd like  to learn more, visit creditcards.chase.com.  You can also send us a secure message at chase.com to  discuss your options.  We appreciate your business and thank you for choosing  Chase. If you have any other questions or concerns, you  can call the number below or send us a secure message.  Thank you,

Should try to call or wasting my time? Can always downgrade but figured can get another year..

Just Shmooze / Re: Violent protests erupt across the country

In 2016 the African American population was about 40.2 million people. How many are looting? How many are causing damage or harm to others? We are talking about maybe 0.05%. Black people deserve respect the same way all human beings do. Why are some of us labeling all blacks as violent? That is pathetic. The people committing violent and harmful acts are bad people and they need to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
Does anyone disagree? this whole conversation is pointless. It keeps going in circles.
