I found this option which I'm going to try out-

https://www.nypl.org/about/locations/sibl/meeting-room

Free meeting room in the business library across ESB

Not sure about noise level, but there's a giant starbuck with 2 levels of seating right at 34th outside the empire state.
thanks, I know the place, I wasn't sure if there are available tables mid day, I'll take a look.

Hi I'm looking for a quietish spot to meet with 2 people for an hour or so every once in a while in the area of the empire state building or up to a few blocks South of that near 5th.
I'm not looking for a restaurant for a meal, though a coffee shop would work if there is always plenty of seating during the day. Maybe some sort of lounge or similar

Any ideas?

i was aware of that option but the few times I tried traffic on the GSP wasn’t great...if the new traffic pattern you mention continues (hearsay implies it will) Metropark may be the better option. I was unaware about the monthly plan. How much is that?
check out the NJ transit website, there are some other options for train stops along the way that can work for you. I know someone that often takes it from Rahway I think.

I guess the daily bus doesn't work for you?

When I don't take the bus I usually drive to the grove st path station in Jersey city, park there in a lot ($12-14 range) and take the path train to 33rd st (2.75 each way on an MTA metro card)

Bingo has Arba Minim on the store for very cheap. Didn't look bad.
Around $15 for Esrog and Lulav (Deri) each (not sets)

went last night , was so jammed, had to wait for a parking spot and than to get food there was a 35 min. wait. Cant wait to try it though.
I parked next door by the automotive place. The owner said he has permission and is in middle of working on a deal with him for expanded parking.
Salmon tacos, pasta, fried fish sandwich, Cole slaw were all great. Tasted just like (or very close to) the LA location in my opinion

Thanks guys for all your input. We ended up staying at the Montage which was really nice, and it wasnt a big deal with a car to get around.
We had Breakfast in Pico Cafe and lunch to go, pretty solid.
For dinner we went to Fish grill which was awesome, we ordered a lot of items on the menu and they were all great. I can't wait for them to open up their Lakewood location.

Mr C is much closer to the frum area, but just to give you an idea it retails for one third of the Montage
Thanks- its just for one night, coming in very late and checking out right after breakfast, so as long as it is nice enough, the location is a bit more important- is it a nice enough hotel?

Which Montage? BH or Laguna Beach. I assume the latter, since if you meant the former you would have obviously looked at the wiki map and if you would have seen your answer.
I'm referring to montage BH. I had a hard time maneuvering through the wiki map on my phone, but from what I can tell it seems the MR C might be a better option location wise.  I have the montage booked but wanted to double check before switching reservations.
I don't need anything fancy for breakfast, just a place to get a good coffee and basic decent breakfast before heading out for the day.  (I'm just there for one day on business)

What's the closest shachris minyan (6-7am) near the montage hotel?  What about a good breakfast place nearby?
Or am I better off switching to the Mr C?

There isn't really anything sit down for breakfast other than Great American Health Bar on 57th and 6th.
