Costco is membership only, charges a shipping fee, and doesn't have a 5x earn option.

Do you as a policy not post costco deals?

What do you guys think... the Westin Nanea Ocean Villas In kaíanapali or the Marriot Wailea beach? I have 3 kids coming along if that impacts your advice...

Thanks!!!

We really thought that the marriott was a nice place for kids, with a nice play room for them and two water slides also.  if the hyatt regency is also an option i have heard that is very nice for kids.

Where is Chabad located now? Walking distance to any hotels? Do they get a minyan on Shabbos?

Located in Wailea, walkable to the resorts in that area, andaz, marriot, grand wailea (waldorf astoria), four seasons, etc.  Minyanim are totally dependent on the week.  I didnt stay in that area over shabbat.

Spending a couple days including Shabbos, more comfortable in an apartment

There are very beautiful hotels right near the chabad if you are hoping to spend shabbas by them.  The NUO hotel is amazing and very inexpensive.

i can't imagine that being true. maybe the individual snapshots of the sun are similar but you won't get the same build up or excitement of the sun popping up

I didnt do sunrise, sunset was very beautiful and didnt ruin my entire day by waking up at 2am.

can see my tr here: https://forums.dansdeals.com/index.php?topic=99683.0

Was thinking of doing Grand & Essex soon, didn't know they only have microwave. However, if my normal Shabbos leftovers get re-heated in a microwave, why can't a stores takeout counter also be good in a microwave?

Cedar Market has oven dairy options including lasagna, eggplant parm, maccaroni and cheese, and penne alla vodka.  All were pretty decent and brought them to hawaii with no problems, just put two layers of foil on my self.  Also did the grand and essex thing with their chicken meals with two sides, didnt like these nearly as much as the dairy ones.

Two things to add to comments on the Ritz in Kapalua:

1. They are currently doing construction on one of the restaurants and it can be kind of noisy in the morning if you are looking to sleep in (I didnt because of jetlag but my wife works crazy hrs and wanted to sleep a lot more)  so if you dont mind not having an ocean view you may avoid some of the noise.  Also under our window there were areas were kids would go early in the morning to play and made lots of noise with that too.  So just something to think about if you have a choice and dont mind not having the views.

2. If your not busy its interesting to see the end of day ceremony in the lobby that happens every evening around 6pm.

Depends what "tons of snow" means, but in general a 4WD or a FRONT WHEEL DRIVE are fine. Snow/winter tires are key.

Moving to Rochester, so tons of snow, definitely will look into the snow tires.

Why the hotel switching?

First got an amazing rate at the ritz only 18k ur points a night on the travel portal for a room that is normally $500+ or 60k Marriott points. So I booked that for the week. We read a lot about the different parts of the island and my wife wanted to stay part of the time in Wailea, I got the andaz at 25k Hyatt but they only had two nights and didnít want to pay $500 for the last night. So we moved one hotel down the road to the Marriott resort and paid with points I think it was 23k. Honesty everyone said this would be terrible we really didnít mind it and we got to experience different places. I think if we could have gotten the last night at the andaz we would have taken it, but wasnít available.

Subaru all the way.

Why Subaru? Any added benefits besides all cars come with 4 wheel drive?
