Does LY have a published routing if you route via BOM?
And is their website the only way to chk award availability?

I succesfully booked  TLV-BOM-DEL-KTM  and KTM-BOM-TLV  with AA miles , so i guess there is a published routing.
You can check their website but you need an active account with at least two activities. The other way is to call AA to check for 9W.

Not oneworld , but AA partner

Is that the best way to go TLV - KTM, and are there any other options

The best option is TLV-BOM-KTM  or TLV-AMM-DEL-KTM for 17K/25K AA

I just confirmed that w/ them as well for my flight w/ CX and LY.
But you can't change carriers w/o paying the fee.

My experience is that you could be charged even within the same routes if you change from a reservation such as RJ or CX +LY to LY only because the fee waiver applies to oneworld reservations only.

A few weeks ago I got with AA reps award space that didn't show

Recently, I got with AA an award seat that JAL, Qantas and BA did not show. I did not check so maybe was there.
What is the most reliable tool for searching CX space using AA miles?

you could receive one or the other

I usually get both.

got the following: can anyone explain what is the actual USD cost for the ticket?

Tarifa por adulto
U$S 530 = $ 2.624
U$S 1,00 = $ 4,96
Adultos (1) $ 2.624
Impuestos y tasas$ 3.287
Cargos$ 0
TOTAL$ 5.911

 $5,911 argentinean pesos    =  $1,191 USD

KVS is not bad.

You are not alone.

It might take a long time , but this is what I am doing.

1. HUCA until the AA agent does not ignore the issue . This might take at least 3 HUCAs.

If not successful,

2.  Have the agent checked with the "reference desk".  You will remain waiting on hold for at least 10 minutes, but there good chances that the seats can be booked.

If not successful,

3.  Suggest the agent to send a request to the "EL AL liaison".  They have direct access to LY and do not require the currently broken access link between AA and LY.

If not successful,

Repeat step 2 and 3 until you get your seat.

Many reps promised me already that they are reporting this, which may or may not be true. But still gave me the feeling that with 1 tweet or PM this issue may not be resolved.

Reporting to Elal laision several times may help.

Are you still having the same problem?
I noted that LY flights can be found at qantas website and when you try to book them, you get an error message . So , the technical glitch is probably from ELAL and not AA.  Are they blocking some award space?

The method of payment is what matters.

The Argentinian government has been closing all these known currency loopholes.
