wish i would have seen this sooner. could have helped out. hope they made it up there. also bustang is a very good way to get to vail from denver

Any activities open in Vail now specifically for adults

Gondolas are up and running so you can take your mountain bike and ride down or hiking. Just missed the Vail wine classic a couple weeks ago. I personally just enjoy walking around the village. hope you make it up there and fyi ski season starts 11/20

Going up to Vail with the family. Should I worry about altitude sickness and stay overnight first in Denver?

I was in Vail this past weekend hiking and enjoying the beautiful mountains.Most restaurants and shops are open.plus dave is doing live music at the red lions in the village. the gondolas are not running. For adjusting to the altitude i would recommend breathe right strips. wear that the first night you arrive and you should be fine. Don't forget your water, lots and lots of water. try drinking about 3 liters your first day.  if you have had problems before with adjusting maybe a night in Denver wouldn't hurt. in downtown Denver they have entire blocks sectioned off so restaurants can open up there outdoor dinning areas. have fun

Yes or limit your time in vail. Zip lining over the game creek bowl is great and the views are spectacular

Anyone been to Bali in end of October to jan time. would like to start putting a trip together, also really considering the STR or the ritz any recommendations on which one?

I was in Bali and the gili islands during the first 2 weeks of November 2018. flew over from phuket. a little bit rainy in the morning but from 10 am to 12 it would clear up for the rest of the day. i was in ubud, kuta and uluwatu. did all airbnbs. stayed right on Padang beach. spectacular views. You will have a wonderful time.

i would say any other year at that time for kids would be great because they have the gopro games and the puppy splash off is a must see. sadly to say the event has been cancelled. Vail would not be ideal for a 3 and 5 year old for more than a day or 2. if you do decide to come and go to vail contact me because i have a couple free kid foot passes for the gondola. 

Planning a family Colorado trip kids ages 7-5-3 in June. Debating if I should stay in Denver (Gaylord) or vail/Avon in Sheraton. As far as my research went I couldn’t see anything interesting in vail for my younger kids. If anyone did go with kids this age please share. Thanks
