Hi all. At the risk of sounding ridiculous- Has anyone gone on a Kosherica cruise to he Bahamas/Caribbean islands and had access to he kosher food offered? Iím not talking about access to their dining rooms. Apparently I heard that they convert entire restaurants (accessible to everyone) kosher for that week but I was not sure if thatís really true.

Does anyone have any studio to 2 bedroom available on miami beach for the week of Jan 28 to Feb 3?

I'm going to San Jose, CA for business for 2 days. I don't think I'll have time to travel to San Francisco - I will literally be in an office and then at the hotel. Does anyone know if there is a kosher restaurant or caterer in San Jose proper that possibly delivers to an office or hotel?

How many pies do you plan on ordering ?
''

Not yet sure. I know we need to order pies and fries, but we will make the other foods. Is there anything in Flatbush? I dont think they'd want to deliver from CH.

Does anyone know of the cheapest place in Brooklyn (Flatbush area or areas around it) to buy pizza pies for a party? We love Amnons but it's way too expensive for pies. And please let me know your opinion as well. If it's $10 a pie but tastes like cardboard, I don't think my children will forgive me  :o

Stupid me, I didn't search for "wire" when I did the search so that thread didn't come up. I'll look into  both the thread and google wallet. Thank you!

Credit Cards / How to transfer money abroad cost efficiently?

I searched and didn't find a related topic on ddf.

I have to transfer some cash to a sibling in the UK. I'm in the US. He has a US account but no way of accessing it. Is there a more cost efficient way to transfer other than wire transfer? I don't think the Uk has amazon payments

TIA!

You're obviously choosing to misunderstand why website upset AJK. I'm asking that they should do something about the mistake their own CS rep made, not because of the weather. If not for her mistake, we would've been in Phoenix yesterday. I didn't care that we are not going to Hawaii anymore. But because I the CS rep, we are now stuck on a plane, for 4 hours and counting, and the plane hasn't even flown off yet.

Can anyone help us with the following predicament we have?

We were supposed to go to Maui Thurs morning (tomorrow) thanks to Dan's awesome post on Delta's price mistake.

My husband called me yesterday at work and said that many flights with a stopover to Altanta on Thurs (like ours) will probably be cancelled. Delta offered free switching due to the upcoming storm. He looked online and there's was nothing available to Hawaii on Wed night. We decide to go to another city if they'd let us (this way we can take our baby with us anyways), because the likelihood of getting to Hawaii before shabbos would be slim if we couldn't leave by Wed night (ie, if we're leaving late on Thurs because of the storm, it might be a big problem).

From 8:30-10:30 pm we are on hold to speak to a CS rep, and she found tiks to PHX  and she said (and repeated 3 times) it's for a Wed 8 PM departure. When she hangs up at 11:30 PM we then get an email confirmation for a THURS 8 PM departure, which probably will be cancelled with the rate Delta is going cancelling flights on Thursday.

So we called again, waited from 11:30 PM - 2:30 AM to speak to someone, and they then said they have NO available flights leaving on Wed night ANYWHERE - we searched LA, Vegas, Miami, even Hawaii. We even offered to split up and go on separate flights. The earliest they can book us onto a flight is Thursday (tomorrow), 8AM to PHX. I'm just worried that that flight will get cancelled. But I'm really upset at them. They screwed up big time, and whenever we demanded points for what they did, they said "oh well you got your tiks from that price mistake that went around". But if I hadn't been on the phone waiting for them from 8:30 to 3:30 AM (yes, we had very little sleep last night), and if the CS rep hadn't placed us on a wrong flight, we would have been on our way right now to the JFK airport instead of writing up this post!

Anyone have a similar issue? Do you think we can get points with this? They keep obnoxiously bringing up the point that we bought these tiks as part of a price mistake...

So I know I promised trip notes after our trip to Maui but Delta has screwed us over with the flight situation due to the storm and we're not going in the end :-/

After spending time on all this research on the Maui thread, I may now be leaving tomorrow to another city instead. And that's IF planes are flying out tomorrow. Gonna go search DDF now to see if anyone posted on whether Delta provides points as consideration for making a mistake on their part (basically, a CS rep switched us to another city because Hawaii Wed night departures were full, and  she promised it was leaving Wed night, but ended up being a Thurs night departure, and when we called back and waited 3 hours on hold there were miraculously NO departures on Wed night (tonight) available to any city). But every time we started demanding points for this mess they put us into, they said "well you got these tiks on the price mistake that went around..."  DansDeals, they're onto you.

:o  I thought you couldn't park by the beach area!

I told this it was honeymoon and they just said they'll "put it in the system" and if we want to upgrade it's $75/night. I'll ask again when we arrive. Apparently there's a large party staying there at the same time and they do not have space.

Just curious, for anyone who stayed at the Andaz or the Sheraton - were you able to get ocean view rooms without paying the upgrade? Apparently you can't book ocean view rooms with points and Andaz wants to charge an extra $75/night for a PARTIAL ocean view. On top of the $30/day charging for parking our rental car, it would be over a $100/night including all those points spent!

Also, anyone been to the Westin recently? We wanted to book the Westin for the last 2 days but chose Sheraton instead since supposedly there's construction going on at the Westin...
