Owner comp must be paid via payroll, and to use the whole thing for owner comp (assuming he's the only employee) you need to wait 2.5 months- you can't use it over 8 weeks. The maximum amount of funds you can use over 8 weeks for owner comp is the annual owner comp amount included in the loan, divided by 52, times 8.

Does it make sense to take a smaller loan to try to get a 2nd round?

Needs to wait a minimum of 8 weeks, but at that point he can apply as soon as he has used all funds correctly.

Note that there is barely enough time til March 31 to go for both rounds, so use funds efficiently and start working on your application before the 8 weeks are up, so that as soon as you used your funds correctly you can hit submit.

Isn't the most efficient way for a Schedule-C person to use the funds is to write 1 check for owner comp?

If they need the funds for something else they can make a contribution or recapitalize the biz later.

your'e making it sound that people are just SPEEEEDING... no, e are human, and here and there we by mistake go a drop faster than whats posted, which is in no way dangerous, and we get a ticket for it.

Were talking about how to avoid these. Not how to be a criminal and not get caught.

No, you're going 11MPH over what's posted that's more than a drop

Most of the strategies discussed here are actually illegal in it of itself

Not sure if this was mentioned before, but here are 2 ways how to avoid tickets (and tolls)

1) install a bike rack on the rear of your car to block the plates, nothing illegal.
2) if you have a new car with a temporary plate, don't put the regular license plate on unless you are stopped (moving violation). Otherwise the tickets shouldn't arrive to you.

An even better way is to not speed or run redlights

Does 50% mean they left the other 50% for second doses or it’s 25+25

No it means they used 50% of what they received. States weren't receiving the 2nd dose until 3/4 weeks after the first.

Now that they've opened public vaccine sites they'll use their allocation fast

Deblasio’s 400k/week isn’t sustainable, they won’t have the supply. If it’s true then virtually all of NY will be vaccinated by the end of 2Q2021. I wish it was true, but I don’t believe it for a minute.

400k/week includes 2nd dose

Might have been worth it for 3 million doses, but for 3,500?

Criminal charges for HIPPA violations?

HIPAA has both civil and criminal penalties.

The biggest risk to them is being blacklisted from gov programs like medicaid and medicare

I doubt they were just doing this as a one-off

There is no law about distribution, only guidelines. I don’t know how they got them but how can they be under criminal investigation? They’re allowed to purchase whatever vaccine they can get their hands upon, are they not?

There are laws about fraud

There are laws about writing and administering prescriptions

They didn't buy the vaccine they were given it by the government, and they had to sign an agreement when they got it.

Their advertisements led to a Google Form signup which asked for insurance info, and was certainly not HIPAA compliant

I doubt someone will go to jail over this but I can see individuals or the organization(s) facing fines, loss of licenses, or being blacklisted from government programs.

Why will more people get Moderna over Pfizer? Simply because it will be more readily available and is logistically simpler without requiring the same freezing cold temperatures? Or because there's something actually better about it? I admit I didn't have the patience (or knowledge) to go through the FDA's report. Anything surprising or noteworthy we should know about?

The US Gov ordered more of the Moderna so far, and it seems like they have a better handle on production.

Honestly, at this point I don't see a fix to this in anything short of a constitutional amendment mandating transparent posted pricing (and public availability of all contracted pricing) for all medical procedures and services.

Why would you a constitutional amendment when a regular law could do the same thing?

What is a kit? Is it a dose? two doses? A dose vial + a syringe?

The vaccine is coming in multi dose vials

The kits are ancillary items to administer the vaccine. I'm not sure what exactly will be in the kits but you should expect syringe, alcohol swabs, bandaid's, maybe gloves etc. They'll also come with some sort of card you can use as proof of vaccination.

Kits are shelf stable and can be shipped in advance of vaccines that need refrigeration or deep freezing

100m are enough for 1/6 Americans, we should expect vaccines to be widely available in NYC before the end of 2020. Trump was more on target than all of us.

Kits aren't the vaccine.
