Destination Guides And Trip Planning / Re: Morocco master thread
« on: February 02, 2021, 02:13:47 PM »
I'm planning a trip to Morocco with friends and am looking for tour guide recommendations. We usually travel on our own but based on feedback we want to hire someone to take us to kevarim and same person or someone else to go to the Sahara desert. Adventure style travels.

The only info i could find out if required, is the guide i used to climb the Jibl Toubkal mountain ehich lies close to Marrakech.

Thanks for the reminder!

In Israel, any way to get better pricing than through an agent? Any tricks to get free or cheaper unlimited mileage on shorter rentals?

When you need, try it

Umm...The Balfour declaration, and the Arab fears of Zionist takeover started by 1917.

Fears of... ?

Morocco was in comparison with other arab countries exceptionally nice to its jews. Even during the second world War they took amazing steps to protect them.

I was in Djerba a few months ago, the most unique place in the world in terms of the Jewish community. Yidden literally live like before Zionism came around and arabs kicked out all jews from their lands...

Yup, fully agree, the Jews were massacred by their arab friends and neighbors in Hebron in 1929, because of the state that would be created in 1948.

I wonder if Tunisia is less touristy and more authentic...

Now nothing is very touristy, and unless you go to the few very modernized cities, its pretty authentic.

Morocco beats Tunisia,  thats for sure.
Also safety wise...

It's a crime to stay in a points hotel in Marrakesh or Fes, I must protest!

Correct, and likewise any low-cost different cultured place.
