Smooth and easy experience with

I googled as well before posting it is unclear.

(as this is totally GC related I think it belongs here in this thread)
You aren't buying or selling or trading.

How does it work with AA GC on a itinerary (booked on that some flights are on AA and some flights on a other OW carrier but is not AA codeshare, Is the AA GC valid on such a booking or on part of it?

Please don't start a discussion in this thread. Up in the Air might be a better place.

Or googling turns up:

Buying 1 code.

I have a domestic Delta companion voucher, good till mid August. I'm willing to sell it for $300 or 70% of the plane ticket, whichever is greater.

PM me if you're interested.
I don't think I've ever seen such marketing.

Hey man, I'm willing to sell for $300, but if I can get more out of you, I will.

Any metal or only United?

Can't make it. Thanks!

So as expected I won in the paypal battle. Heís now disputing a previous transaction he and I were involved in (requesting the same amount of course). While I have no doubt Iíll win in paypal and am hiring a lawyer (one of my close friends) to file a lawsuit against him, I think now that the forum agrees that itís not his and he lost with paypal and is now just harassing me for the same money,

Could we please KICK him OFF the forum?

I don't know if I agree with what he's doing, but I definitely don't agree with you.

Give him access to the account. End of story.

Well a couple things. Its a Gift Registry and not a Gift Card. And my gift registry didn't update the balance unfortunately. And he claims ALL this happened AFTER he finished his flight, lol.

SO after spending hours trying to find his money to give him the refund with phone calls and tweets and all, he's still going via Paypal. I don't think we follow halacha here, but I think we try. We don't have terms here but to do our best. Which I did. I'll win in Paypal, I've already sent my documents. But if he doesn't want to follow halacha (hamotzi mchaveiro) and despite my best efforts, I caution anyone to work with him in the future.

Simple question:
Have you given him access and said "figure it out yourself"?

Can we ban him from buying on the forum? Even after spending hours and showing him I didn't get a refund he is still trying to pursue it on Paypal.
Whoa! That's pretty drastic of him. However, he did post a week ago that he wasn't getting a response from you.
Obviously there is more going on here...

Either way, I'm not sure what is going on here from either side. He bought a gift card. He got a refund. Whether a partial refund for what happened or a partial refund because his flight got cancelled for weather and he drove, it gets refunded back to the GC. That isn't the seller's issue to refund.
Full stop.
That means that the buyer has a GC balance for the future to use. It's one of the drawbacks of buying a GC to use.
What the buyer is entitled to is access to the GC to use. Is that being given? It's the buyer's issue to deal with United and trying to find it.

For those that need an example: If I buy a GC for a restaurant, and I order over the phone for delivery, they run the GC and send the order. When they deliver the food, I realize they messed up the order. I call and they say they'll refund the GC. It isn't the seller's issue at all. It's my issue to find the refund and use it in the future. It doesn't matter if the seller called in the payment with the GC or I did. Only thing seller "owes me" is access to the GC.

Something fishy is going on here.

And yes, it's me, the OP.

If you are selling AA at at lower than 82% you should consider selling with Cardcash or something similar, as they buy for around 81-82%.
Obviously depends on amount, but 1%, even on $1000 of vouchers is only $10, and probably not worth dealing with card cash or potential issues for that.
