This was so frustrating. I just managed to get the sliver but have been trying since noon.

Two questions:

1) Are cufflinks considered "jewelry" and therefore excluded?

2) The purchase must be in the US. What about online purchases from non-US merchants?

That could be why visa isnít getting involved. They donít want to be the ones litigating contract law.

Nope. There's no dispute on the facts. VISA is making a broad policy that if a merchant cannot deliver due to a government regulation, the risk of loss passes to the buyer/recipient.

Do you have a signed contract with the program?

Yes, but why is that relevant other than in a lawsuit?

I paid for a Pesach program with a Chase Visa card and initiated a chargeback because the merchant was only offering a 65% refund. My claim was denied because VISA's policy is that government regulation overides existing polices, so if a program could not open due to COVID-19 it's not considered their fault.

Does anyone have ideas on how to respond to this other than sue the merchant?

I spent the money on Aviation Gin instead. I am much happier.

What was wrong with the Peloton?

90% will not be in business next year. mark my words

I think enough programs screwed over their guests, so they should be in ok financial shape next year.

110% credit is a joke. They can jack their rates up 30% next year to get people to have to shell out more $$ or forfeit the credit.

...and that assumes they are still in business and same location.

I am booked through a company called Vacasa.

They offered me 110% credit and I told them I just want a full refund. They are refusing.

I will try going through cc.

Any luck with the chargeback?

How will your friend prove that the program is no longer opening?

Are the Kosherica Pesach programs still officially on? They are being very quiet about their plans.

In no particular order:

1) Prague
2) Amsterdam
3) Gibraltar
4) Bahamas
5) Jerusalem
6) Greek islands

I left off other place I visited (e.g., Milan, Belgium, Budapest, Aruba, San Juan, Miami, Los Angles, Panama, Arizona,Toronto)

Goods For Sale/Trade / Earn $75 while doing me a favor
« on: December 24, 2019, 06:29:53 PM »
Ask: Will pay $75 for anyone that can hook me up with an official repair estimate for a broken printer.

Background: I have a Canon Pixma G4210 that broke (no longer wirelessly connects to a computer and also has a roller that doesnít work). As the 1 year warranty recently passed, my only hope is the Chase extended warranty. However, Chase requires an official estimate from a service repair place. Speaking to various places, I gather that the cost to repair will probably exceed my $320 cost but none are able to give me an official estimate, just an e-mail or a house call for a high fee. I already tried Canon (manufacturer), Staples (the seller) and a bunch of others in NYC.

Fine Print (not so fine): $75 to be paid in any form requested. Must obtain actual written estimate in pdf format showing cost to repair (or statement that cost to repair exceeds cost of printer), items broken, printer model, address and EIN of repair place.

I am purchasing a reward ticket on Delta with minimal fes. For baggage insurance and similar protections, which is the better card: Chase Sapphire Reserve or Amex Platinum (Business)?
